The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

This is an area of mountains, sea and national park and somewhere that has been attracting holidaymakers for many years. Pembrokeshire Coast national Park in the south west is a favourite holiday destination, with miles of coastal footpaths and wonderful seascapes; lots of Blue Flag beaches and seas rich in marine life. Further east Carmarthenshire also has lots to attract holidaymakers, with historic castles, mountains, rivers and of course coastline. No matter where you choose your never too far away from mountains and the sea and of course there is the thriving cities of Cardiff and Swansea to visit, where you'll find lots of first class shops, cafes and restaurants.

Newcastle Emlyn

The holiday village is set in the heart of the beautiful Teifi Valley, and just a short drive away from the coast. On-site facilities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, sauna, club room (serving meals and drinks), a launderette and a tourist information room, along with a small shop selling all the basics. Cenarth sits astride the River Teifi – mostly in Carmarthenshire, and also partly in Ceredigion. There is a spectacular water fall and salmon leap and is one of the best places to see coracles – for a taste of local tradition, attend the annual coracle races take place in Cenarth at the end of July. There is plenty to explore with beautiful walks right from the front door step. Public footpath markers take walkers along various trails; explore the Pembrokeshire Coast Path or the Teifi Marshes, which are also home to a Wildlife Nature Reserve. Mink, otters, stoats, buzzards, woodpeckers and red kites are commonly spotted amongst the flora and fauna. Cyclists, fishermen and golfers are also well catered for in the local vicinity and shoppers, art lovers and food lovers won't be disappointed either.
