Newborough is renowned for its blue flag beaches, its environmentally important sand dune network at the Warren and the famous forest that hosts red squirrels, crossbills and the largest raven community in the UK. It has featured on several BBC Spring & Autumn Watch programmes.

Llanddwyn island, more a promontary than an island is iconic with its views of Snowdonia and the Lynn Peninsular, its beautiful small sandy coves and relics of times gone by. It was the setting of Demi Moores film Half Light. Llandwyn Island has been voted the UK's most picturesque mooring by sailors.

Permits can also be obtained for horse riders to ride on one of Newborough beaches and in the forest.
