It is a two bedroom apartment in accordance with New York State Law for Multiple Dwelling (MDW) and Article 3 of Multiple Residence (MRE), on the second floor of my parents' two (2)-story, four (4) family apartment building, with one bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room. Both bedrooms have queen size beds. Both bedrooms are furnished and available. Some of the closets will be locked and inaccessible. The remainder of the apartment which are, the bathroom, kitchen, and living room are private. The stove is now connected and fully operational. The kitchen provides a private refrigerator, stove, toaster, telephone (only domestic calls), and microwave. The apartment has modern decor, some from Ikea and Walmart. It is clean. No pests. The cable provided is DirecTV w/ Premier package (the highest leveled package offered by DirecTV). The first bedroom have the cable box which, is a basic DVR (record/watch two channels simultaneously). The cable box in the second bedroom is a basic HD cable box. The cable box in the second bedroom is a basic HD cable box. Additional movies or events that aren't free, a Guest can view it through contacting the Host and requesting the exact title with the channel number to be viewed; no pornography. The Host must be paid in advance with cash for the amount of the paid event or movie, including tax. A receipt will be provided. There is a cleaning fee of $30. There is a Security Deposit of $120. After proper inspection of the apartment and building ( within 48 hours), after your departure from the apartment, I will arrange to either return the full amount of the deposit or return the partial amount if, there is actual damage. Smoking within the apartment and/or building is a damage. If there is excessive damage, I will keep the deposit. I prefer to reimburse the deposit to guests through PayPal, if not, we could arrange another method as is suggested through the Holiday Lettings website.

The air conditioners are located only in the bedrooms and living room for the Summer season. There is a radiator located in every room for heating, for the Winter season. This message is intended for Summer guest(s): Please, don't leave the air conditioners running continuously for days. Thanks. Please, try to conserve energy. This message is intended for Spring/Winter/Fall guest(s): The heat schedule is Monday - Sunday 5:30 am-9:15 am; 12:30 pm-4 pm (16:00); and 8:15 pm (20:15)-12:15 pm (00:15). Please, try to reserve heat. Sometimes when releasing steam or when the heat is circulating, the radiator may make some noise for a few minutes. I'm seeking to have it remedied, soon. Thanks. There are labeled and pictured bins for disposal of trash and recycling. Board games are available for those who prefer alternate entertainment. At the time of departure, once the keys are returned there will be a quick walk through of the apartment by the Host or one of the Host's family members.

The owners, who have over twenty (20) years experience in renting, with three of their adult children live within the two- story apartment building; one of them which is the Host, Jennifer. There is only one tenant that lives in the apartment building on the first floor. Within the apartment building is very quiet. There are neither children nor pets within the apartment building. There is video surveillance outside at the front door of the building and within the hallway for safety. There isn't any private parking. I must add, that the apartment and building are W.I.P (Work In Progress). My family and I are gradually adding things that guests will be quite pleased with.

Located in a residential area in East New York in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, it is an ethnic neighborhood (a mixture of American/Caribbean Black, Hispanic/Latino, Russian, and other). Three (3) minutes away walking distance from the 3 train subway line. Five (5) minutes away walking distance from the L train subway line. Both trains can take approximately 30 minutes ride to The City/Lower Manhattan. The 3 train line takes about 45 minutes ride to 42nd Street Time Square. Using the 3 train and/or 4 train lines takes about 15-20 minutes ride to Downtown Brooklyn. The B15 bus is about 30 minutes ride from/to JFK Airport and about three (3) minutes walking distance from/to the apartment building. It is quicker to take a taxi from/to LaGuardia Airport. A taxi from/to JFK can take 15-20 minutes ride and from/to LaGuardia can take 40-50 minutes ride. There will be extra details of different routes to take when reservations are confirmed.

There's free parking on the street. There is alternate side parking for street cleaning on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings. You can park anywhere on the street as long as you're on the appropriate side for street cleaning. There are six (6) gas stations varying between 3- 6 minutes from the apartment such as, Exxon Mobil and BP.

A FREE light breakfast will be provided such as, a variety of single serve bowls of cereal; organic dairy and organic soy milk; coffee; apple/orange juice; and more. A FREE light lunch will be provided such as, soup and PB&J. Other FREE light refreshments/snacks will also be provided. All will be available within the apartment but, all preparations must be done by guest(s). Sorry, for any inconvenience. There are numerous places to eat. There are many Grocery Stores at almost every corner. There are two (2) major supermarkets within two (2) minutes walking distance from the apartment. There are numerous restaurants and popular fast food/chain restaurants within a 4 mile radius and varying between 5- 30 minutes walking distance from the apartment such as IHOP (International House of Pancakes), Wendy's, Olive Garden, Golden Krust, Red Lobster, Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, Burger King, Checkers, Subway, McDonald's, White Castle, Denny's (coming soon), and more. There is a Farmer's Market less than 5 minutes walking distance from/to the apartment building (East New York Farmer's Market).

If anyone is no longer interested after inquiry or something unforeseen has happened, no problem, please let me know. As soon as possible. The apartment is not suitable for children under 12 years old; if so, the Guest will have to forfeit the Security Deposit. In order to be lodged effectively, there must only be the amount of people reserved with light travel luggage. Please, give a specific arrival/departure time to/from the apartment to insure that the Host can make the proper accommodations.

No tolerance for disrespect, no tolerance for illegal drugs within premises, NO SMOKING, and no pets allowed; if so, the Guest will have to forfeit the Security Deposit. The maximum amount of people is four (4) if, there are more than two (2) guests per night then, an extra payment per night is required. No parties and no drunkenness within premises; if so, the Guest will have to forfeit the Security Deposit. No sleeping on the love seat/couch, it isn't intended to substitute for a real bed; if so, the Guest will have to forfeit the Security Deposit. If a guest needs to accommodate an extra person, who isn't sharing a bed, please request an air bed 24 hrs prior to check-in; if not, the Guest will have to forfeit the Security Deposit. There is no extra charge for the use of an airbed.

Please, try to be tidy. Please, inform the Host if there will be more people beyond the number of reserved guest(s) for a reservation; if not, the Guest will have to forfeit the Security Deposit. The stove is connected and fully operational so, make sure all burners on the stove are turned off when not in use and do not leave the stove unsupervised while in use. For safety reasons, please let me know immediately if there is a problem with anything within the apartment/building. Please do not take it upon yourself to correct/fix any issues within the apartment/building. In the case of an extreme emergency (such as, water/gas leakage, heavy smoke, fire, or etcetera), access within the apartment must be acquired with/without guests' permission or prior notification. There are shower caps under the sink in the bathroom and the hair dryer is provided within the apartment.

Always lock the front door to the building after entering and when leaving. There is video surveillance outside at the front door of the building and within the hallway. For safety, try not to stay outside too late after midnight (this message is intended for guests who aren't familiar, not comfortable, and/or have anxieties with the neighborhood; and aren't comfortable with staying out too late). Please, use your discretion. Police presence in the neighborhood is prevalent 24 hours on foot, in vehicles, and even the occasional helicopter. The Police Station is about forty (40) minutes away walking distance from the apartment. Guests' safety is more important than money. If there is a need for immediate emergency assistance, there is a Fire Station less than two (2) minutes away walking from the apartment.

Check-in is at 3 PM (15:00) and check-out is at 11 AM (11:00) . Thank you.

It also has popular stores: Old Navy; Target (w/ Starbucks); Bed, Bath, & Beyond; Best Buy; and more. There are numerous places to eat. There are many Grocery Stores at almost every corner. There are numerous restaurants and popular fast food/chain restaurants within a 4 mile radius such as IHOP (International House of Pancakes), Wendy's, Burger King, McDonald's, Checkers, and White Castle. Fresh Creek Nature Preserve is a park with nature by water which provides information about the variety of wildlife along the trail. Linden Park has a field for soccer/football, basketball/tennis court, a track for walking/running/jogging, and more. Brooklyn Sports Club is a gym that provides numerous ways to keep fit/active. All of these locations are 30 minutes or less walking distance from the apartment building. The Hollywood Stunts Professional Stunt Training Center NYC is the only stunt school in Brooklyn. It is only 40 minutes by taking the L train line to the G train line to Greenpoint Avenue. Coney Island is a beach with an amusement park, an aquarium, restaurants, and other types of entertainment. Barclays Center is a new indoor stadium to watch live sports events. It is a 20 minute 3 train subway ride. There is only one Ikea in NYC, the F and G train subway lines gets the closests to Red Hook; there are Water Taxis close-by that can be taken to get to Lower Manhattan. There is Kyacking close-by also. The Brooklyn Bridge is a historical site. It is approximately a 23 minute 3 train subway ride. There is a bike/walk path that leads to/from Lower Manhattan. BAM: Brooklyn Academy Of Music is a 20 minute 3 train ride. There are showings of movies, plays, and other performances. Marine Park Golf Course is where one can play/learn to golf. Jamaica Bay Riding Academy Inc. is where anyone can ride/learn to ride a horse. Fulton Mall is a historic site that is 20 minutes on the 3 train line; it provides a variety of stores. Botanic Garden is a 15 minute 3 train subway ride. It has an array of plant-life and flowers; some being rare and exotic.

Many of the sites and establishments mentioned are located in other neighborhoods of Brooklyn. This is intentional, because we see all parts of Brooklyn as viable and desirable.

New York City

Predominantly working class with a family orientation. There are primarily one to four family homes situated in the neighborhood, with a touch of tree-line streets. Within roughly a ten block radius, you can come across five or more community gardens. In the summer, there are family block parties and barbecues. It is a mostly quiet and peaceful location in the neighborhood.
