New York City

A walk on the beachYou might feel a refreshing, salty breeze brush your cheek when you step into this cool, Tribeca home. Adorned with art and artful, aquatic antiques, this two bedroom, two bathroom apartment in a converted office building is an excellent place to set down your anchor - the tucked away restaurants of the West Village and the shopping mecca that is Soho are both only minutes away on foot.Deep sea explorersYour hosts are an accomplished couple, sailing into New York City from the northeast and the south.A blue lagoonYour hosts have infused their passions into this space, and you'll notice this as soon as you walk through the door and into the living room. Look up and all around the great room - an open study, living, dining, and kitchen area meld fluidly into one. Sink into the sofa in the living room - you'll be amused by the whimsical pillow featuring a soon-to-be fresh catch atop the nearby armchair. Eating in? Prepare your meal in the modern kitchen, where original tiles in soft, translucent seafoam provide a pleasant backdrop. Set the table in the dining area, and don't worry, the waterfowl perched on the cabinets are only decoys. When you're done navigating through the great room, continue on into the bedrooms. A TV room doubles as a guest bedroom, the baby's room is across the way, and nearby is a bathroom bedecked with small blue and white tiles, reminiscent of waves and foam. As you near the end of your expedition, you'll discover the master bedroom, complete with an ensuite bath. Sink into slumber in this calm space, and dream of tranquil, glittering azure waters. Concrete jungle? How about urban oasis.Beyond the horizonBeyond this home, all of Manhattan and beyond awaits. Venture westward towards Hudson River Park for river views, jogging paths, and renovated piers where you can people watch and be watched. After you've built up an appetite, eat like a Tribeca landlubber and have brunch at Bubby's. Want to explore other neighbourhoods? Climb aboard the 1 and uptown awaits.
