The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

This is one of the most rural and untouched regions within Wales, with a wealth of natural beauty and wonderful landscapes, in both the countryside and at the coast.
Visitors will be able to find uncrowded beaches and a diverse habitat for marine life around the Cardigan Bay area, with much of this coastline being designated as 'Heritage Coast'. Here there are little coves and sandy beaches many of which can be explored by boat, which can be hired locally.
Inland the Brecon Beacon National Park extends over 500 square miles and is home to some of Wales's most stunning mountain scenery. Small towns and charming villages are dotted throughout this area, just waiting to be discovered.

New Quay

For boat trips and wildlife there is no better place to see dolphins and seals than New Quay and this could be a perfect end to a day's walking on the coastal paths. Llangrannog offers alternative pleasures with a variety of cafes and pubs. Aberaeron is only 10 miles away and is a perfect place to explore or enjoy some local sea produce from the harbour and take it home to Mwnt, one of the most pleasant Welsh cottages in the beautiful Cardigan Bay area.
