The Galway / County Clare / County Galway region
Galway Bay is renowned in song and story and once visited the experience will never be forgotten.
Explore this outlandish landscape - famous for it's unique flora and fauna - by car, bike or hiking on its many hills. The green roads and bohreens are beautiful in their loneliness, each one revealing something magical and intriguing. The majestic Cliffs of Moher, battling daily with the Atlantic ocean, rise in places to over 200 meters. Ferries serving the Aran Islands depart from Doolin Harbour during the summer.
The beaches and coast line are ideal for swimming, surfing, kayaking, scuba diving, boating and fishing.
The lively pubs and up market restaurants in the area are indeed a joy for both locals and visitors.
New Quay area
The local pub, Linnane's famous Lobster Bar, and small shop are a short walk away. With the villages of Ballyvaughan and Kinvara a mere 10 minutes drive away, you can enjoy the convenience of pubs and restaurants. The location is also an ideal base for golfing, kayaking, horse riding and walking holidays.
There is a multitude of small beaches locally. Bishops Quarter beach can be found near Ballyvaughan and is ideal for small children. Tra beach is on the Kinvara side of New Quay. Both beaches have a lifeguard on duty throughout the summer months.
