Captain's House is a wonderfully positioned Grade II Listed building situated in the old conservation village of Hythe and is just a short, level walk from the modern Hythe Marina Village. Hythe's traditional village centre has many shops, cafes and restaurants whilst Hythe Marina Village caters for sailing enthusiasts and has a splendid broadwalk overlooking the Cunard QM2 & QE2 berths. Captain's House was completely refurbished in 2004 providing a very comfortable standard of family accommodation for six holidaymakers & a babys cot. The house has three bedroom. Two on the first floor, each with en-suite facilities plus one twin bedded room on the ground floor with a family bathroom via the hallway. The private, south-facing walled garden is sheltered and seculded. Parking consists of a single brick and tile garage with an additional parking space at its front. Additional public parking is available 100m away. We provide two resident parking clocks which allow free parking in several New Forest Distrct Council town centre carparks which can be freely used for days out in the New Forest.
Whether it be for a week or two by the sea in the heat of summer or for a short winters break, Captain's House is the perfect holiday home for visitors wishing to enjoy the wealth of attractions along the Solent, New Forest and surounding areas.

The Central Southern England region
This is a wonderful part of the world to visit, with beautiful scenery and wildlife - a great place to get back to nature. It is a walkers paradise, with glorious walks through the countryside and forest for nature lovers and keen ramblers, as well as walks for those who just like a stroll in the fresh outdoors - for all levels. There are many miles of beach nearby as well for those who like to get close to the sea.
This part of England has plenty to do for all the family, with museums, galleries and beautiful gardens nearby. You can find many places to eat such as traditional English tea shops, country pubs, or a delicious a la carte restaurant. This is truly a gem of England, come and see for yourself!
Hythe, '' Where the New Forest meets the Sea'' is a splendid area for a holiday; the New Forest National Park is just a 2 mile drive and the local golf course is just 5 minuted by car. Hythe has its waterfront onto Southampton Water and has a wonderful position to watch the commings and goings of the Ocean Liners and daily shipping movements from Southampton Port.
Captains House is directly overlooking Southampton Water with a small shingle beach just across the Prospect Place 'Waterfront Green'
The busy Georgian village centre is a level 100 meter walk and Hythe Marine Village is a 5 minute walk. Both have excellent waterfront promenards with splendid views over the famous Cunard Queen Elizabeth 2 & Queen Mary 2 home port berths. Hythe Pier with the oldest working piper train in the world is adjacent and the day-time half hourly ferry takes passengers to Southampton with its many attractions.
