About the home

Escape to the country... Henny Garden House is a self contained detached private house located in a private garden. Come and explore the beautiful New Forest which is a short 5 minute walk away with stunning rambling tracks suitable for walkers or cyclists.

The cosy lounge area has a coal effect gas burner stove, comfy settee and a wall mounted flat screen TV. The bedroom also provides a comfortable retreat with a memory foam topped double bed and a wall mounted flat screen TV for those snuggy lay-ins! Fully equipped kitchenette, family bathroom with bath and hand held shower attachment.

Enjoy a cream tea in Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst or Beaulieu..... All are only a short drive or cycle away! Perfectly located for exploring the New Forest National Park, 1.5 miles from Ashurst, 4 miles from Lyndhurst. You will share the garden with 3 guinea pigs, sooty the cat, plenty of wild birds as well as 2 cheeky hens who will supply you with daily fresh eggs!

We enjoyed staying here and Mick and Sarah were more than happy to provide us with anything we required. The little extras such as cakes, milk, bread, eggs, butter and flowers were a lovely surprise. Nothing is too much trouble and we felt very comfortable staying here. Ideal base for cycling and walking. Thank you for our Henny House experience, its been a good week..... Please take a close look at the picture with the stairs as these are quite steep and may be a problem for people with restricted mobility and children under 3.

We are happy to reserve the dates for you for seven days during which time we will require a £50 deposit. The balance will be due 4 weeks prior to your arrival date. Both the deposit and balance can be paid as either a bank transfer or cheque. Cheques will only be accepted if sent 14 days in advance of your arrival date. Prices and availability are always kept up to date. The price quoted is the total per night/week including electricity, linen and bath towels (excluding hot tub). There are no other hidden charges. If you require a booking form please do not hesitate to contact us.

If children are accompanying you please state their age on your enquiry form (three person taffif applies when the use of the sofa bed and bedding is required).

“Cosy cottage, perfect location, excellent value for money!” My husband and I had a perfect, relaxing weekend away at Henny cottage. Great location to explore the New Forest and nothing nicer than relaxing in the jacuzzi under the stars after a day out and about. Even enjoyed our first bbq of the summer in the garden! I would have expected to pay double anywhere else for such a lovely cottage.

“Relaxing Break” Henry House was well run and was situated the east side of the New Forest, not too far from Lindhurst. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay. The self contained accommodation had everything we needed and was perfect for my partner and I with our dog. The only slight issue we had was that we hadn't researched the area enough before we went and found that when we arrived we had little phone signal to search the web and no WiFi options nearby. This meant that we struggled to find out where to go for our bike rides but after going to the tourist information centre in Lindhurst we found some beautiful routes. All in all a much needed relaxing break.

“Cosy and comfortable weekend retreat” Nice welcome package of bread, milk, freshly laid eggs and even some little apple pies when we arrived. Sarah and Mick were good hosts welcoming and helpful when needed but never intrusive. The property was a good size for two with everything that you needed. We used the hot tub (for a small extra cost) which was great after a days cycling. The location was in a little village which suited us fine with a pub literally on the corner though there were other places nearby. Lovely place to stay, would stay again. Just a small warning that you'll need to be careful on the stairs to the bedroom as it's rather steep.

“Romantic and relaxing escape from London” We recently stayed at Henny House Garden and had a wonderful time. The small details, such as the cupcakes and freshly laid eggs left for us, only add to the charm of this cottage. But for us the real highlight was the jacuzzi, which was absolutely divine and the perfect way to relax on a chilly evening. Would definitely recommend ordering take away curry from Asha too! A lovely weekend away and we will definitely be back when we need a break!

“great place to stay” lovely little place to stay with easy access to the new forest.owners very friendly and helpfull(even offered to drive us to a local resturant,but we chose to walk).fresh eggs from the chickens in the garden for breakfast.pub less than 100 yards away.perfect.

“Amazing” What can i say about this cottage/house, its got perfect lacation, close to all of the main new forrest towns. Supermarket only down the road which was perfect. The family are very friednly and helpful and th Hot tub is jsut a quality extra feature that i would highly recomened, nice and relaxing after a long days walk in the newforrest or shopping around southampton. The little touches were special as well, with the cottage decorated in chirstmas decorations and the outside of the house decorated with blue lights. Only down side is not having a standing shower, but for other people may not bother them. Overall 5 star ratting. plus i hear that there is new features in the cottage since i last visted, even more reason to go back. Response: Thank you for your feedback. As the bath is situated where there is a sloping ceiling we were unable to accommodate a 'stand in' shower but we have increased the pressure of the bath's hand held shower attachment which allows for a good 'sit down' option. Or alternatively, you could use the relaxing bubble bath provided and just enjoy a soak in the bath.

“such a quaint little house” we had a really lovely time staying at henny garden house, sarah was so lovely and nothing was too much trouble!! it had everything we needed for our midweek break at a fantastic affordable price too! all the little touches made it so special and personal too. we will DEFINETLY be returning :)

“Lovely cottage & lovely family!” We stayed at Henny Garden House for a week at the end of August. A soon as we arrived we received a very warm welcome from the owners, who introduced us to the brand new chicks straight away & gave us lots of ideas for places to visit & places to eat. The cottage itself is very nice & has everything you could possibly need for a week, including a slice each of a delicious home made cake! It is a very handy location for Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst & Lymington. All in all a very comfortable place in an ideal location. We hope to return soon. P.S The open-top bus tour around the Forest is well worth doing, and we particularly liked the indian at Ashurst recommended by the owners Mick & Sarah.

“BRILLIANT HOLIDAY HOME FOR THE NEW FOREST” The owners MICK AND SARAH ,made us very wellcome from start to finish .The extras that are in "HENNY GARDEN HOUSE" when you arrive are such a nice supprise too!! We found it very easy for getting to all the lovley things in" THE NEW FORREST" you will love the accomadation its very comfotable home from home!! WOULD RECOMEND THIS TO ALL!!

“A lovely property close to all the attractions of the New Forest and beyond.” We arrived at Henny Garden House and were greeted by the owners which was warm and welcoming. The description of the property is just as it reads on the website. We found everything we needed within the property and were able to ask the owners any questions or advise should we require anything. I travelled with my mother who was 69 and a child of 5; who both enjoyed the atmosphere of the of the accommodation with all of the animals the seven hens, a cat and three guinea pigs, the little one especially enjoyed helping collect the eggs. Henny Garden House was close to many local villages within the forest such as; Beaulieu, Burley, Lyndhurst and within five minute you could find the first donkies, ponies and horses. Bournemouth and Christchurch were only a 30 minute journey away with lovely beaches. We had a couple of meals at The Gamekeeper Pub just around the corner which were lovely however big portions so be warned!!! We also tried the Old Farmhouse in Totton which was a good meal, however lots of nice cafes, pubs and tea rooms in the local villages. Morrisions is less than a 10 minute drive and there is also a small Tesco's express nearby. During our visit we didn't go far without bumping into horses, ponies, donkies, cows and the owners did point us in the right direction or recommend lovely places to visit. A lovely place to stay and we will return in the future to explore more of the beautiful the New Forest.
