The Central Southern England / Hampshire region
Hampshire is a popular area of England, famed as the home of two of our greatest writers, Jane Austen and Charles Dickens. With its rolling green hills, famous places, including Winchester, and mix of rural and city areas, this county is one of England's gems. It also has a large maritime history, with two of the UK's largest naval ports on its southern coast in the shape of Southampton, primarily a merchant port, and Portsmouth, a Royal Naval base and channel ferry port.
The New Forest / Fordingbridge area
The market town of Ringwood is close by and Fordingbridge is within walking distance with local shops for groceries and many local country pubs and restaurants. The barn is situated close to various coastal cities, beaches and The New Forest.

We stayed at Hyde Barn for a hen weekend in March. I was expecting a nice house but I assumed the photographs were probably over selling it slightly. However when we arrived we were absolutely stunned at how gorgeous the house was and couldn't believe this was where we would call home for the next few days! If anything, it was actually nicer than the photographs if that was even possible. I would strongly recommend Hyde Barn to anyone seeking a rural retreat. With easy access to both Southampton and Bournemouth/Poole you've got so much within your reach with the comfort of having a luxurious home to return to. We had such a great time and didn't really even want to leave - which is probably why we only left once! We spent evenings in, eating and drinking around the huge table, and making the most of the super comfy beds and soft sheets! We stocked up on lots of food and drink so the fridge was full and we didn't have to worry about anything else for the entire weekend. The house itself had everything you needed, even a computer, ipod docking station, and flat screen TVs in all the rooms! I would go back in a flash and have already recommended the barn to lots of people - it gets a huge thumbs up from me! |

Beautiful barn set in a wonderful location with roaming horses and donkeys everywhere! The barn comfortably accommodated our whole group. The views from the big windows were stunning and the location was very convenient for walks and local pubs. The lounge and kitchen were huge and beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen fully stocked with pots and pans, crockery, cutlery etc., enough for large groups. We were easily able to make breakfast and dinner for everyone in the large kitchen and because it was open plan the Chef didn't miss any action! Gaining access was very easy and Sarah showed us around and made the process as smooth as possible. We went to the Royal Oak on Sunday for a Sunday roast and they easily accommodated the whole party. Wonderful food and good drinks. We would definitely return as a group again. Perfect venue for catching up with friends, partying and relaxing. |

A beautiful and fanastic property that was not only A+ in the actual property, but was super clean, tidy and had all the amenities who could want. Very large and spacious living area which is excellent for big groups. We were 14 in total (all adults) and shared beds but still felt like we lots of room. Scenery was beautiful and welcomed by cake and flowers which was such a special touch. Barn had all the basic items as well (hand wash, dishwasher liquid, bin bags etc) which many holiday properties don't provide. Our booking was handled with efficiency and professionalism and couldn't wish for a more perfect place for 14 ladies to bond on a relaxed and fun hen weekend. Local restaurant Little Mere was excellent and local pub Royal Oak offers free transport home. Local taxi company excellent too. |
