Entrance to the property is through a low glazed door into the original part of the house, with it's low ceilings and exposed beams. The 'snug' area has a log burner and a breakfast table which seats six persons. There is a utility cupboard housing iron & ironing board, broom and hoover and a cloakroom, off the snug, also housing a Miele washer/dryer.
The kitchen is located next to the 'snug' area. Though modern, the kitchen retains the 'cottage' theme. There is a five ring hob and triple oven, an under counter fridge, freezer and wine cooler. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size dishwasher and Belfast sink. The stable door leads onto the parking area. The ceilings, like the snug area are low, reflecting the time the property was built.
The lounge is a generous size, with seating for up to eight people on a large corner sofa and two single chairs. There is a log burner, Bose CD/Radio system with MP3 connection and a unit which houses the Freeview TV and DVD. The lounge has large windows with views onto the forest. Being a 50's extension, the ceiling height is more generous.
The conservatory is accessed through double door from the lounge. There is a large dining table which seats maximum 8 people. The conservatory overlooks the gardens.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, one en suite and a family bathroom. Head height upstairs varies, due to the age of the property.
Bedroom one has double aspect windows, with views over the garden to the back and the forest at the front. There is double bed, bedside tables and a chest of drawers, as well as wardrobe space and a chair. There is a 26" TV/DVD combi with Freeview. The en suite has WC, shower and basin with a toiletry cupboard and heated towel rail.
Bedroom two is a twin room, specifically for children. There are two 2ft6 beds, a chest of drawers and a cupboard providing hanging space and storage. The beds can be combined to create a 5ft bed for two adults, however access to the bed will be restricted. There is a 19" TV/DVD combi, with Freeview. Bedroom two overlooks the garden.
Bedroom three has a 4ft 6" double bed, bedside table, hanging space and dressing table. There is a 22" TV/DVD with Freeview. There are views of the forest from the side window.
The family bathroom has a WC, sink, bath with shower over and a toiletry cabinet. There is also a heated towel rail.
Heating throughout the house is provided via gas central heating as well as under floor heating in the snug and kitchen.
Further details outdoors:
There is parking for two cars at the rear of the property and access to a secure store for your bikes (please note access to the driveway is narrow and will not suit all vehicles - alternative parking is available in the village). The garden is well maintained, mostly laid to lawn, with a rockery and evening lighting. There is a covered well and a table and chairs for six people and a briquette barbeque.
The driveway is shared with the Lodge and owners accommodation.

A beautiful cottage that looks exactly as it does in the photos, complete with pony on the front lawn. A magical place to stay, the owners were so welcoming. The pub next door was an added bonus, lovely food and real ale. We spent a lovely New Year with friends and family in the perfect place. |

Availability notes:
We aim to be as flexible as possible, but during busy periods we aim to check in new arrivals on the same day that the previous occupants check out, or at least have the 'minimum nights stay' gap between rentals. Please check the 'minimum nights stay' on the 'Prices' section as they vary depending on the time of year. Please try to bear this in mind when requesting your booking.
