The Court has remained family owned for generations, from the time it was built in the late 1700 's. A still consecrated Chapel, was added to the structure in the early 1800 's. The Court was originally used as a home for the farmers, who cultivated the surrounding land owned by the family, according to the rural traditions that characterized most of rural Italy until the middle of the last century. The oldest part of the structure has been completely restored over the years, in order to create a fully independent guest rooms and new spaces for the day, but always preserving its ancient atmosphere and its history.
Campora is situated on the edge of the National Park of the Appennino Tosco Emiliano, on the slopes of Monte Fuso, famous for its centuries-old chestnut trees; a short distance from the ski resort of Monte Caio and other peaks of the Appennino of Parma and Reggio Emilia. Campora is situated inside the "Appetizers Lands", i.e. those lands which historically belong to it to Countess Matilda of Canossa. From the Court you can see the Romanesque Parish Church of Sasso, rebuilt on the orders of Countess in 1082, a clear sign of its importance and its ambition.
During the summer you can play in and around Campora many outdoor activities. The mountain time zone, and many of the other mountains in the area are well-known destinations for excursions to different levels, both on the part of the inhabitants of the area to tourists. The more adventurous who want to grapple with the road bike or mountain bike, may face some real challenges between the steep, difficult hills and valleys of this land.
. A short distance from B&B is the pool of Campora, easily accessible on foot, for those who prefer to simply relax in the pleasant mountain climate. The pool represents the center of life of the country during the summer months, evening concerts and various events attended by people from across the province, including the traditional feast of Brown in October.
