Home description
We are located just one mile from the popular village of Nettleham and the beautiful cathedral city of Lincoln is a short drive away. Each of the two units comprise of three rooms, one with kitchenette sofa bed and dining table. There is a fully equipped separate bathroom including a shower. The property has oak and tiled flooring throughout, being furnished in a comfortable, cottage style theme, which is private from the main barn. The location of the Barn is excellent, with the village of Nettleham just one mile away, with 3 pubs, all serving good home cooked food, a co-op supermarket, post office, tea rooms, fish and chip shop, butchers, pizza shop, to name just a few. Lincoln city is a short drive or bus ride away, providing a superb cultural itinerary and restaurants, there is a beautiful Cathedral and Castle and a plethora of lovely craft and gift shops. There is plenty of countryside to explore and walking / cycling routes on the doorstep. The accommodation provides a small outside area to sit and have a drink or BBQ in the summer.

Lincoln is a fantastic cathedral city with a plethora of roman architecture, culture, history and attractions. There is always something to do, with activities ranging from festivals, castle events, walks and great eateries.
Please find more information on the lincoln tourist information website on www.visitlincolnshire.com and www.thisislincolnshire.co.uk . The world famous Christmas market is held early in December. The Lincolnshire wolds and Viking way are a short drive away and the coast can be reached in approximately 45 minutes.

There is an abundance of attractions for all ages: the Cathedral is a must, the castle, the ghost walk in the evenings, Lincolnshire history museum, and the local tourist bus tours of Lincoln.
For relaxing days, take a walking tour of the village of Nettleham with our picturesque Beck, village green and church. There are 3 good pubs in the village, all serving home cooked food and we have a library supplying information on the local area, small supermarket, butchers, post office, fish and chip shop, chinese takeaway, pizza/kebab shop, newsagents, tea rooms and several beauty salons providing pampering and treatments.
Within a short drive there is a golf course with restaurant, several other good pubs and many varied walks and places of interest, such as The Deep museum in Hull and Rand Farm for the children.
How to get there
Nettleham is situated 3 miles north of Lincoln city, just off the A46 and can be accessed by bus from the station or a short taxi ride. The nearest airports are Doncaster/Sheffield, East Midlands/Nottingham or Humberside, all approximately one hour away by car. The nearest ferry port is Hull. Car hire companies can be accessed at most of the airports.

Further details indoors: Stable One includes a two burner hob and a superb combination microwave with oven and grill. An ironing board and iron is also available, garden furniture provided for 4 people. Hoover provided.
The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated and most suitable for a couple or family who wish to use the sofa bed in the lounge (this is fully sprung and good quality) .
Please note the second stable is furnished with some lovely period pieces and has modern kitchen facilities including a washing machine, a full sized cooker and oven, microwave, hairdryer, hoover and digital television. One double bed and one sofa bed. The rate for this annexe is £230 per week as there are more facilities. This annexe also has a private, small walled garden area with private bbq area.
Further details outdoors: The entrance to Stable One adjoins the driveway area, garden furniture is provided for you to sit and dine in the summer, although small children will need to be supervised. Stable Two has a private, secure entrance and courtyard garden area, also with patio furniture and a BBQ. The rooms in the accommodation have lovely views onto the main barn's courtyard. There is an allocated parking space for each Stable. There are far reaching views around the barn with our only neighbour - the lovely farmhouse.

Please contact us for special discounted rates and single occupancy rates which are available throughout the year. Towels and bedding will be provided weekly and for weekend stays. Please let me know if you have any requirements and I will endeavor to accommodate. I have stated that the accommodation is unsuitable for wheelchair users, however all the accommodation is on ground level without steps on entry, the only disadvantage is that the bathroom toilet entry is narrow and doesn't comply with the new disability guidance ( see photos). Please note that there is internet access in the village library but not in the property. There is one parking space for one car only, no additional guests to stay other than those named on the booking contract, thankyou.
