Dell of Abernethy - West Dell
from £60 /night help
Cottage | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 7
The Dell sits within three peaceful acres just on the edge of the Abernethy Forest, 20 mins from Aviemore.
The Georgian granite homestead has been converted into four self catering cottages and one large lodge.
Ideal for families with safe, secluded grounds and countless activities on the doorstep. Or a peaceful haven for those looking to switch off, walk in the woods and experience all that the Cairngorm National Park has to offer.
West Dell is the largest or our traditional cottages and faces down the huge back lawn. It has an open plan living area with wood burning stove and axe cut beams.
The three bedrooms are split with a double on the ground floor and a twin and a triple upstairs in the eaves. The triple can be made into a double and the are cots, high chairs and stair gates available. Dogs are most welcome.
All our accommodation is heated by a wood pellet boiler which powers the central heating and hot water.
Within the tall granny pine wood there is a stone fire pit for guests use.

"The perfect place to spend some quality time with friends."
I've just returned home from a most relaxing and enjoyable weekend with friends at the Dell. It's the perfect place to spend quality time with friends: sharing home cooked meals together, going for long meandering walks in the crisp winter weather, and drinking whisky late into the evening by the roaring woodburner. Thank you Ross & Polly for making us feel so welcome from the minute we stepped over the threshold. So many lovely touches, that I don't want to give away in case I spoil the experience for future visitors!
