West Dell is the largest or our traditional cottages and faces down the huge back lawn. It has an open plan living area with wood burning stove and axe cut beams.

The three bedrooms are split with a double on the ground floor and a twin and a triple upstairs in the eaves. The triple can be made into a double and the are cots, high chairs and stair gates available. Dogs are most welcome.

The Cairngorm National Park has been described by Attenborough as 'one of the glories of wild Scotland' and plays host to a huge variety of natural landscapes and diverse activities.

Within an hour you can be at the top of the Cairngorms, by a silent still loch or up to the wild beaches of the Moray coastline.

If you wish you can walk from the Dell to the top of the Cairngorm mountains without having to cross a road and via one of the most breathtaking passes in the area.

Nethy Bridge

The Dell sits within 3 peaceful acres on the edge of the Abernethy Forest within the wilds of the Cairngorm National Park.

The village of Nethy Bridge is a 1 mile stroll down the riverside and Aviemore and Grantown a 15 minute drive away.

The area plays host to a huge range of outdoor activites for all ages from ski-ing, downhill mountain biking, horse-riding and watersports to the more gentle wildlife spotting and quiet exploring.

There is also a thriving live music scene, great local produce and a good choice of quality places to drink and dine.

Peace and quiet, dark nights and fresh air. Roses, red squirrels in the garden and scones delivered to your door.

"Lovely, peaceful stay!"

"The perfect place to spend some quality time with friends."

I've just returned home from a most relaxing and enjoyable weekend with friends at the Dell. It's the perfect place to spend quality time with friends: sharing home cooked meals together, going for long meandering walks in the crisp winter weather, and drinking whisky late into the evening by the roaring woodburner. Thank you Ross & Polly for making us feel so welcome from the minute we stepped over the threshold. So many lovely touches, that I don't want to give away in case I spoil the experience for future visitors!
