The Aviemore and the Cairngorms region
The pleasant village of Nethy Bridge is a quiet alternative skiing base to Aviemore. In the centre of the Cairngorms National park and sitting on the border of the old Caledonian forest, Nethy is a picturesque village in the Spey Valley offering golf and various outdoor activities including horse riding and beautiful walks through the forests, where you may chance upon some of the rarest wildlife in Scotland.
The village of Nethy Bridge – often affectionately referred to simply as “Nethy” has been a holiday destination since Victorian times, yet it remains unspoilt with the majority of accommodation hidden away in quiet locations next to the ancient Caledonian pine forest. Nethy has had a long and close relationship with the Abernethy Forest and as a result of this has taken on the mantle of 'The Forest Village'
