The Dell sits within three peaceful acres just on the edge of the Abernethy Forest, 20 mins from Aviemore.
The Georgian granite homestead has been converted into four self catering cottages and one large lodge.
Ideal for families with safe, secluded grounds and countless activities on the doorstep. Or a peaceful haven for those looking to switch off, walk in the woods and experience all that the Cairngorm National Park has to offer.
Dell Lodge, always before the family home has recently undergone a beautiful restoration; stripped back to its core and introduced to simple luxury and quirky furnishing.
Accommodating up to nine guests, Dell Lodge sits strong with sun filled views south to the Cairngorms and now offers a wonderful space for family gatherings, celebrations and group holidays.
On the ground floor there is a sun porch with breakfasting table, a cosy drawing room with library and wood burning stove and a large kitchen with scrubbed table and old pine beams.
The grand winding staircase leads you past a beautiful timber lined wet room, a traditional bathroom with claw foot bath and up to the first floor. Here there are two large king-size double rooms facing south with stripped pitch pine floors, one with an open coal fire.
Upstairs again to two sweet doubles in the eaves, one with a further single bed.
Dell Lodge can also connect up with both West Dell and Little Dell allowing a total of eighteen guests to share this great, sociable space.
Apologies but due to the location of our accommodation we do not accept bookings for stag or hen parties.

"Superb Christmas week"
Three generations enjoyed Christmas week in Dell lodge and East Dell. Arriving on a very snowy evening we found both properties warm with central heating and log burners already lit. Also Christmas tree and festive decorations . The quirky period touches make Dell Lodge quite unique.Underfloor heating in the kitchen and wet room were much appreciated. There was no problem cooking a Christmas meal for 11. Dishwasher and extra deep sink in Utility area coped well with the washing up! Plenty room for wet coats and boots at back door and in front conservatory. Good location for access to short or long walks. Although in peaceful countryside on edge of village the acess to Wifi was appreciated by the teenagers! Maybe that is how Santa Claus found his way to Dell lodge!
Polly and Ross are welcoming and helpful.
