A Victorian stable block converted into a comfortable contemporary apartment.

A special place for a peaceful getaway and to explore the Wirral peninsula, Chester, Liverpool and beyond.

The apartment is all on the ground floor (the right-hand part of the building). There's an open-plan living space with a wood-burning stove and well-equipped kitchen. For you to enjoy there is a TV with satellite freeview channels, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and a Bose Soundlink so you can Bluetooth your music.

The bedroom has a king-size bed with crisp cotton sheets and two robes. In the bathroom you will find both a large shower and bath plus fluffy towels.

There's off-street parking in the courtyard. You can make use of the large garden, but please be aware that you do so at your own risk! It is unlit at night and there is what you'd expect in a garden - slippery. uneven surfaces, changes of height and plant hazards.

The local town (3 min by car) has a number of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and pubs. I can make recommendations of where to eat or visit.

By car, Ness is about 20 minutes from Chester, 30 from Liverpool, 10 minutes to Clatterbridge and an hour from central Manchester. The airports are 50 minutes away. There are bus and train links to Liverpool and Chester.

The estuary is beautiful, big open skies and landscapes - ideal for walks, cycling or bird watching - there's extensive RSPB presence at Burton Mere.

Liverpool University's botanic gardens at Ness is a 10-minute walk. Cheshire Oaks outlet village and Chester Zoo are both about 20 minutes by car.

There are a number of golf courses nearby, including the Royal Liverpool Club (10miles).

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Karen (the owner) a message.

If Karen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
