The best climate in Europe. Clean beaches with retaurants close bye. Lots of good restaurants. Very nice clean beaches.
Nerja / La Noria, Nerja area
Nerja has great character with the Balcon de Europa featuring on many Spanish holiday adverts. The town has many charming narrow streets with excellent restaurants and bars. There are water sports from Buriana Beach or you can have a walking holiday around the many white villages of Andalucia such as Competa, Comares and Alcucin. Nearby is one of the largest wild life parks in Europe, at Selwo. The Maro caves are a 'must' to visit. Or you could go further afield to Granada, Cordoba Malaga or Sevilla. May 15 is the festival of San Isidro. A Procession from the centre of Nerja to the Caves at Maro, traditional Spanish and Flamenco costumes are worn.
How to get there
Fly to Malaga, hire a car, head east along A340 following signs to Malaga then after 2Km. follow signs to Motril. Keep on the Autovia del Mediterrano until turning for Nerja (about 40 mins.) Heading in to Neja take the first turning right off the first roundabout. Right at the bottom of the short hill. The villa is a short distance from here. More details on booking.
