This is a comfortable 3 bedroom house built in traditional Spanish style situated in a quiet, well maintained urbanisation called Almijara III with beautiful gardens and two good sized communal pools (one for adults and one for children) The urbanisation is set on the hills behind the Burriana beach with beautiful sea views and against a backdrop of the rugged foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. There is a sauna which is open in the winter months and a bar/restaurant in the complex. A local shop stocks a good range of produce. It is about 60km from Malaga airport on the motorway. (A7)

Accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin - with optional z bed and 1 single) all with plenty of wardrobe space. There is one full bathroom and a shower room both recently refurbished, a fully equipped kitchen (including microwave, fridge/freezer and electric kettle) and a large living/dining area with seating for six people, which has A/C and heating. There is satellite TV and a DVD player. Internet access is available on request. There is a washing machine, iron and ironing board.

The spacious back terrace and sun room are sunny all year, have sea views and are equipped with patio furniture for al fresco eating and barbecuing. The front garden with its flowers and lemon tree is a shadier place for quiet relaxing.
There is a large communal pool and children's pool (open May to October) exclusively for the use of residents in the urbanisation.
There is parking space.

Andalucia is a fascinating potpourri of cultures and varied geographical features from the snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada to the beautiful beaches on the coast where the sun shines all year round.
The Andalucians are fun-loving and hospitable people. Granada, Cordoba and Seville with their Moorish architecture, history and colourful atmosphere are within comfortable reach of Nerja.
The Nerja / Almijara area
Nerja is a vibrant Spanish town with quaint streets, whitewashed houses, shops and supermarkets. There is the famous Balcon de Europa where tourists and locals including artists and craftsmen gather in the evening to enjoy the views, have a stroll and relax in the many bars and restaurants.
The surrounding area is very beautiful with scenic villages inland, and many sandy coves to be explored along the coast. The Marina del Este (6 km) is a medium-sized sports port with a beach and harbourside cafes. Nearby Almuñecar and Velez-Málaga have water parks. The famous Nerja caves are worth visiting.
The Baviera golf course is about 18 km away.

Fabulous location, only a mile from the centre of Nerja. The house was a 3 bedroomed spanish residence, full of character and authenticity. Very clean and basic but spacious and everything we required was there. The majority of residence are spanish and there are 2 good sized communal pools in the residence that were not ever busy when we stayed in august- this suited us perfectly. In all, renting this house was worth every penny and more. We will be back!! |

The home worked out great for our family (3 kids 12, 10 and 6). Plenty of room and clean. The patio was great for early morning coffee and late night wine. The kids favorite part was the pool, of course. One shallow pool which worked out well for the little one, and one standard depth pool with views of the ocean. The location was quite central, although we did need to drive to almost all activity. There was a market though at the bottom of the hill and easily walkable. A ton to do in the area with the family and all the people we met were great. Make sure to take a trip to Frigiliana and Granada if you stay in the area. Mary helped us get booked easily and was very responsive to emails. I would definitely recommend this place to others and would book again, should the opportunity arise. |
