About the home
The new house is south facing and sits in its own fruit orchard and is on three levels. On the first level is a living room consisting of an open plan kitchen/ dining area with further seating area and a guest toilet with shower.
The lower level contains two double size bedrooms with a separate bathroom. The upper level offers a large relax area with toilet.
Outside there is a full length shady terrace leading to a swimming pool of some 10 x 4 meters surrounded by grass lawns. In addition a purpose built BBQ with its own seating area. Parking: A secure gated parking area for two cars.

The Costa del Sol region
The region of Eastern Malaga (Axarquia) is the quiet part of the Costa del Sol. It is developed, but the villages have not been spoilt by mass tourism. You can meander through the bordering nature park Sierra Tejeda/ Almijara (2.068 m) where the mountains are tumbling into the sea.
Discover the small beaches, the famous Caves of Nerja and the fabulous Alhambra in Granada. The Costa del Sol (sun-coast) has an average of 320 days of sun per year. The temperature in winter (Nov- Feb) hardly ever falls below 18ºC. So the weather is spring like It is warm enough to sunbath on the beach!
The Sierra mountain range protects the area from the cold north winds. In the summer months, there is a light breeze that keeps the temperature pleasant. Here you will find an almost perfect climate.
The Nerja area
The Arabs called it 'Narixa' or 'Narija' (abundant fountain) and this location is settled on a magnificent natural spot on the spurs of the Almijara mountain range. Its tropical landscape marked out by plantations of sugar cane, offers on the other hand in its nearby mountains a great deal of small and big game.
Its charming popular architecture with the white walls dotted with flowers, oozes Andalusia flavour and it is in harmony with the marvellous view we can admire from the 'Balcon de Europa' situated on a cliff. Nerja also boasts a lively night-life bases upon typical restaurants, discos, music cafes, flamenco clubs, the well as shops with articles for all tastes.
And we have to mention perhaps the most important : 'The Cave of Nerja' - National Monument, is a rocky formation of crystalline dolomites with more than 250.000 years of age, and one of the oldest deposits of the Solutrean culture in Southern Spain.

The property enjoys easy access. From Malaga airport you reach Nerja by the new highway in aprox 45 min. Taking the exit Nerja there is another 250 m to get to the property. Nerja Centre and beaches are 2 mins by car and 25 min walking. (3 km to Nerja Centre / Balcon de Europa ) There is also a regular bus service (not Sundays). A stop being 100 m from the house.
On arrival you will be met by the owners of the property, who live nearby. We will supply a welcome pack of bread, milk etc. Late arrivals are no problem. Further we will be happy tp bring you up to score on the local area i.e. shopping, restaurants, sightseeing!

We had a lovely week here, the villa is great for a quiet getaway. It is very close to Nerja and the supermarkets and also to Frigiliana so we had the best of both worlds. The outside space is brilliant, lovely big pool, BBQ area and huge garden full of all kinds of fruit trees. It is not overlooked at all and the sea view from the terraces is lovely, just the place to eat a leisurely breakfast, a great start to the day. The villa gets the sun all day and you can sit and watch the sun set from any part of the garden or terraces. Frank the owner is brilliant, he met us and showed us around everything and told us where the best places were to eat, shop and explore, he couldn't have been more helpful, we felt we could call on him if there was a problem, always useful if you can't speak the language. We will definitely go back again. |

This property was exactly as the pictures! Almost to good to be true! We had a marvelous time, the children loved the big pool and garden, the house was very clean and complete and had a big patio al around. The property is near to the very nice city Nerja with the famous balcony of europe and several nice beaches. Malaga is not to far, there is a big shopping center in Velez Malaga, there are caves in Nerja, and some nice villages to visit. We will definitly come back to this property. |

We decided on this place as it looked cosy and was very close to the beach; also, we like to barbecue and the pictures showed a little barbecue hut. We were not disappointed: a very cute house, conveniently located 50min from Malaga, 70min from Granada, and 90min from Ronda, not even 5min to Nerja with it's beautiful beaches. The landlord greeted us when we came off the autobahn and he made the stay really pleasant as he not only told us where we would find everything nearby, but also had filled the refrigerator with gazpacho, tortilla, beer, wine and a fresh loaf of bread......!!! We grilled fresh fish every night, enjoyed the wonderful (and quite deep!) pool, and of course the wonderful September sun. The house is surrounded by avocado, mango and pomegranate trees. We would come back any time. |
