Home description

This attractive frontline apartment H, enjoys excellent views over the Mediterranean Sea and an attractive plaza area. It is comprehensively equipped with all necessary items, including new climate controlled air-conditioning, and is maintained to a very high standard, well above the norm for rented accommodation.

The apartment enjoys west-facing views over the Mediterranean sea and an attractive plaza area of restaurants and gardens. You can enjoy the afternoon and evening sun, sitting on the balcony, watching the world go by.

The apartment is set in the Fuentes de Nerja private complex overlookning to Nerja's Torrecilla Beach. The complex is peaceful and well kept, and is renowned for being the best run complex in Nerja.

This area is now more popular than that of Burriana Beach, with the added advantage of being only a few minutes' stroll from the town centre. A short walk takes you to the bustling old part of the town with the Balcón de Europa, a favourite site with local people and visitors alike.

The Fuentes development is a moderately-sized complex of low rise one and two bedroom apartments, located within a safe gated area, complete with fountains and a large communal pool surrounded by grass. The apartment block is 3 stories high and is served by lifts and ramps, making it suitable for children, the elderly and the disabled.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The area of Andalucia (also spelt Andalusia) is well-served by golf courses, marinas and all types of leisure facilities plus six hundred kilometres of sandy beaches and huge unspoiled natural areas with an extraordinary range of flora and fauna.

Andalucia is said to have the best year round climate in the world making outdoor pursuits such as golf, walking, riding and mountain bicycling popular with locals and visitors alike, and these are well-catered for throughout the area.

For an authentic taste of Andalucian rural life there are many delightful coastal towns and inland villages to explore. The tradition of watching the world go by from a pavement café or tapas bar remains a popular ways to pass the time.

The city of Malaga is the capital of the province, a charming city with leafy avenues and excellent shopping.

Food lovers will relish the many culinary treats typical of the area and on the coast you will find the finest fresh fish and seafood available in abundance.


Nerja / Near Balcon and Beach area

Fuentes de Nerja consists of 3 blocks of 2 bedroom apartments, all served by lifts and access ramps. It is a well maintained, gated community and has around 50% Spanish and Northern European full time residents. This means that it is not solely a holidaymaker location; people live in this community as well. This has the advantage of making it one of the best run communities in Nerja. It is always clean, tidy and peaceful and not seething with noisy revellers.

If you want a busy nightlife with lots of action, then this apartment is not for you. Nerja is not a good resort for young revellers. I seek clients who will respect the accommodation and our neighbours.

If you want a very peacful summer holiday with no noise at all then you should not book accommodation in a Spanish town. Spain comes to life in the long summer evenings and both the Spanish and the holiday makers enjoy good food, wine and conversation in the many local bars and restaurants.

In an effort to maintain the quality of the accommodation, I will only accept reservations from a responsible adult who will also be one of the party for the entire duration of the stay.


Nerja caves – car or bus (10 mins)
Balcón de Europa – 3 minute walk
Torrecilla beach – 50 yards
Baviera golf – 10 mins by car (good course and reasonable prices)
Buriana Beach – 15 mins walk (great food and atmosphere)
Velez Malaga – 10 mins by car (another real Spanish town)

Malaga airport to Nerja by car takes around 45 mins and is about 50kms from Malaga. Taxis are always available at the airport (75€) or you can take a bus from the airport, changing in Malaga.

I don't currently recommend a car hire company but there are plenty available at the airport.

For those familiar with the area, Fuentes de Nerja is behind the Bar Mirasol and nearest landmark is the Hotel Monika about 500 metres away.

The accommodation is made up of a twin master bedroom, a second twin bedroom and two bathrooms. Kitchen facilities include cooker, oven, microwave and washing machine. The spacious dining/lounge opens out onto a comfortable west -facing terrace, where you will enjoy the afternoon and evening sun, and spend many happy hours gazing over and an attractive plaza area of restaurants and gardens as well as taking in the magnificent sea views. Sky Freeview TV is available in this apartment and free wi-fi access is available from the bagel bar below.

This apartment complex enjoys a magnificent swimming pool and is just 50 yards from 2 clean and safe beaches. There is an abundance of good bars and restaurants within walking distance as well as some excellent shopping.

We had a fabulous stay in your apartment H - everything was there that we needed. The location is brilliant - you really are in the thick of the action but with no noisy discos or tacky pubs and the very short stroll to the beach is ideal and the pool area was clean and tidy. We have visited Nerja on two previous occasions and stayed up at the Capistrano Playa. Your location is far superior and I would certainly consider staying in you apartment again - if you would have us back, that is! I have already recommended your place to friends and family. The apartment H was lovely and the best equipped we've come across yet in all our years of holdaying abroad. Its position is very convenient for the Balcon de Europa and an excellent selection of restaurants, particularly as it is a level walk, as we noticed many other apartments around the Burriana area involved walking up/down steep inclines. Swimming pool was good for all ages with steps making it easy for less able people. Joanne was most helpful, organising us a taxi form the airport which ensured from landing at the airport to arrival at the apartment was only 50 minutes in total. Would we come back? Yes, most definitely- we will be looking to come back possibly around easter time. In the meantime my parents are looking to get away and I have recommended your apartment- so they may be in touch with you shortly. Jan Young
