The prestigious Capistrano Playa is the nearest of the three Capistrano complex's to the beach and to the quaint bustling yet unspoilt town of Nerja - a 15 minute walk away. A fabulous complex, renowned for its architecture, for which it has won many awards, is bult into a hillside and our apartment is on the second tier opening onto a lovely picturesque Plaza (onto which the placing of sunbeds if forbidden), thus giving a lovely open feel. On the plaza there are several olde-worlde ornate lampposts, and with the fabulous backdrop of the Mediterranean this is a favourite photo scene where local photographers bring Bride and Groom on a Saturday afternoon to get the ultimate picture for the wedding album. From the Plaza you walk down the steps by the large ornamental lake and follow the enchanting pathway down to the beach; on the way encountering cascading waterfalls and ponds, stone walls and wooden bridges, all surrounded by a colourful array of exotic flowers and plants. Whilst there are a number of steps leading from the edges of the plaza our apartment is one of the safest on the complex for young children. There is a lift to the top level of the complex where you will find the beautifully kept pool which is open all year (with separate children's pool) and garden area (with pool table) and restaurant/bar serving good food. There is a frequent bus service to town.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa Del Sol has a sunny warm climate, and winters are generally pleasant and sunny, dropping a little cool in the evenings.
Nerja is one of the few areas of the Costa Del Sol which has retained its charm and although busy and bustling with tourists it is a vibrant yet pretty and unspoilt "olde-Spanish" town. The coastline is particularly breathtaking and the mountains in the distance make a spectacular backdrop.
Nerja / Capistrano Playa area
Capistrano Playa overlooks the fabulous Burriana Beach - the jewel in Nerja's crown. Burriana has a good well-stocked supermarket, shops and many bars and good restaurants of all nationalities, and the area has a sophisticated ambience. The area attracts mainly couples and families, and is not frequented by single-sex groups out to party.
There are lots of places nearby to visit - the Caves at Nerja are an absolute must, as is the pretty white village of Frigliana (approx 6km). Granada and Ronda are also good days out, but hey dont forget to leave some time for the fabulous beaches, particularly Burriana!
There are some wonderfully spectacular coastline and mountain walks and if this is what you like to do, the Tourist Information office in Nerja can provide details, or you can obtain a book of walks in the area from the local bookshop WH Smiffs (yes, I did spell it right and what a name for a bookshop!).
How to get there
Most airline operators fly to Malaga (many several times a day) from all UK airports. Taxis from the airport are plentiful, or we can arrange transport from the airport on your behalf. However, many clients prefer to hire a car from the airport for the duration of their stay.

There are 2 new folding full size single beds with substantial mattresses for use in the Lounge, which enables the apartment to accommodate 4 persons.
Further details outdoors: There is a south-facing terrace which is a "sun trap" and gets the sun from late morning to late evening. The terrace is equipped with patio table and chairs and 2 adjustable-back sun loungers. All chairs and loungers have cushions and there is an umbrella for protection.

Bedlinen and Bathroom Towels are included.
For stays of 2 weeks or more we will come in at the end of the 1st week and change the linen. Cleaning during your stay can be arranged at extra cost. Please advise if this is required.
Conditions
A £50 breakages deposit is required. This is refundable within 2 weeks following a satisfactory inspection after you vacate the apartment.
Changeover day is preferably Saturday, but can occasionally be flexible only out of season. Rentals are generally for full weeks only.

We had a lovely holiday, quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. Just what the doctor ordered! The apartment is situated in the prettiest complex we have ever been to and we enjoyed feeding all the fish on our way to the beach. The 159 steps kept us pretty well exercised! but we lazed on the beach or by the pool for most of the holiday. The sun shone for the whole 14 days and we enjoyed every minute of it. We really enjoyed staying in both properties. Taking use of the combined option of staying 1 week in the Frigiliana house and one in the Capistrano Playa apartment proved to be a really fantastic choice since we could enjoy both a quiet week in a village which was exactly what we needed after a trip across Europe, and a week in the centre of the resort (Nerja) with all its attractions, restaurants, cafes, and beautiful Burriana beach a short (although steep) walk away. If you dont mind we would love to recommend your beautiful holiday accommodation to our friends. It was great to meet you and your husband in person. Once again thank you for a lovely service.
