The privately owned, spacious double and twin bedroom apartment is well equipped, with french doors from the double bedroom and lounge leading onto the terrace, which has a view of the lake, sea and beach .The lounge also has a Juliet balcony which overlooks the picturesque Plaza. A five minutes walk takes you down to the beach through the complex gardens. Capistrano Playa is a pleasant 15 minute walk to the old town of Nerja and there is a regular bus service into the town which stops at the complex reception.
There are a number of superb Blue flag beaches and rocky coves to explore in Nerja. One of the most popular being the 'Burriana Playa' with its gently sloping golden sand, beachfront bars and numerous restaurants, many of which specialise in fresh fish and sea food cooked over charcoal. Although there are around 350 bars and restaurants in Nerja, it still retains its charm and genuine Spanish character. A few kilometres east of are the famous Cuevas de Nerja with many prehistoric cave paintings and the longest stalactites in the world, many of which are 63m long.

Nerja / Capistrano Playa area
Nerja is set against the dramatic backdrop of the Sierra de Tejeda mountain range. The focal point of the town is the magnificent marble-paved promenade, Balcón de Europa, which protrudes on a rocky outcrop between two bays. It is a very pleasant area to stroll around in the evening to take in the many stunning views, the street entertainers and to sample the irresistible local ice cream. There are a number of superb blue flag beaches and rocky coves to explore in Nerja. Capistrano Playa is an award winning, peaceful location, set in the hillside overlooking Burriana Beach. It is beautifully designed with illuminated gardens, walkways and its own ornamental lake and waterfall. This site provides an adult and children's pool, reception, bar and restaurant.
Nerja is about 45 minutes drive from Malaga and the airport. The town retains much of its Spanish charm with pretty narrow streets that offer a wide selection of bars and restaurants. It has several beaches and is surrounded by mountains. Nerja is only 5km from the picturesque white town of Frigiliana. A few kilometres to the east are the famous Cuevas de Nerja with many prehistoric cave paintings and the longest stalactites in the world, many of which are 63m long. making it an excellent base for exploring other parts of Andalucia .
How to get there
All main UK airports and many local airports have regular flights to Malaga. Some budget airlines flying to Malaga include Ryanair and Easyjet.
There is a regular bus service from Malaga airport to Nerja, however car rental can be very reasonable and there is normally plenty of parking available near to the apartment.
Car hire is not essential as there is a very good bus service from Capistrano Playa. Car hire for 1 week approx 120 euros and is useful to and from airport.
