About the home

A Moorish style two bedroom apartment furnished to a high standard. There are both stunning sea and mountain views from the sun drenched South West facing balcony.

The master bedroom comprises one double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen including: oven, hob, washing machine,fridge freezer, spacious lounge with 'free to air' satellite television & dining area for four. There is also a modern shower/bath, sink & toilet.

The apartment has ceiling fans in the living room and both bedrooms.

We have recently added a 32in flat screen to the apartment should you want to watch your favourite 'soaps', news or listen to the radio or play DVD/CDs during your visit to Nerja. Their are a number of DVD/CDs left in the apartment for your use.

The property is a 2 minute walk to the nearest beach or 5 minutes to Nerja Town centre with its large array of friendly bars, restaurants & cafes. To the east, just half an hour away, there is a 9-hole course in Salobrena and 20 minutes west, just off the motorway, is a 18 hole course at Baviera Golf club. The property has just been newly refurbished throughout.

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa del Sol is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. With it's dramatic scenery, the 'Sun Coast' runs for 154 km and consists of a series of large beaches and small coves hidden amongst cliffs, marinas and fishing ports. Its great diversity means that it has something to offer just about everyone - young, old, families there is entertainment and variety to please all.

The Nerja / Torrecilla Beach area

Nerja is on the seashore some 50 kilometres from Málaga on the N340 coastal highway, and marks the eastern tip of Málaga's Costa del Sol. Once a sleepy fishing village, the town now has a population of over 12,000.

Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing.

Flanked by a dramatic mountain range, Sierra Almijara, to the east, the town has, fortunately, managed to avoid being blighted by the concrete high-rises which has been the inevitable result of the tourist boom in some of the coastal resorts. The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums, on which a canary can sometimes be heard singing.

Within the heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcón de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of the great Moorish castle, with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop mountains and blue skies.

There are a number of supermarkets, plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes to choose from.
The town's monuments include the 17th century Church of El Salvador, in a style which is a charming mixture of baroque and Moorish, or mudéjar, and the beautiful Gardens of Capistrano Playa, which descend to Burriana Beach.

However, Nerja's most spectacular attraction is undoubtedly its fascinating caves, located just three kilometres from the centre of town. They include archaeological treasures such as paintings over 20,000 years old and other pre-historic remains. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer. Nerja cuisine includes several specialities including De La Doncella (red mullet) and pescaito frito (fried fish) and ranging from top international cuisine to the ubiquitous sausage, eggs and chips!

Nerja is wonderfully positioned and if you wish to travel further afield you may wish to consider visiting:

The nearest airport is Malaga, where you can pick up your hire car if you have pre-booked or, you can take a taxi or bus to Nerja. The airport bus (Number 19, 'Aeropuerto') leaves from outside the arrivals area and will take you to Malaga Bus Station. The ticket price is €1.10 and buses run every 30 mins with the last bus to the airport at 22:30 and from the airport at 24:00. From Malaga Bus Station you can board a bus to Nerja on a regular basis.

“perfect location, fantastic resort” The apartment is perfectly located, 2 minute stroll to the beach, a leisurely 10 minute walk to the shops, bars, and restaurants, and several supermarkets close by, including 1 right next door. There was everything we needed in the apartment, and the ceiling fans were much appreciated as it was so hot when we were there! Nerja is a lovely place to stay, the little narrow streets are full of interesting shops, bars and restaurants with roof terraces. We would love to return here, and will recommend the apartment to our friends. It was excellent value for money.

“This apartment was perfect for our family's needs - fantastic price too!” This apartment has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Nerja. Nerja is a small town which, in my opinion, is easily walkable. The apartment is in walking distance to all amenities and therefore you don't need a hire car. For price, location, having the free sky tv channels, washing machine, cleanliness and tidiness I would not hesitate to recommend it to others stopping in Nerja. We ate out mostly: we recommend El Puente (The Bridge) located on the bridge up the road as a fantastic place to eat!
