There are plenty of restaurants and cafes here to choose from, and you can hire a horse-drawn carriage to explore the most romantic corners of the town, there is the 17th century Church of El Salvador, in a style which is a charming mixture of baroque and Moorish.
Nerja's most spectacular attraction is undoubtedly its fascinating caves, located just three kilometres from the centre of town. They include archaeological treasures such as paintings over 20,000 years old and other pre-historic remains. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer

"Perfect relaxation spot"
We stayed at this apartment the last week in June and highly recommend it. The views are absolutely stunning, the photographs do not really do it justice. You definitely need a car to get to the apart… More

Hi, my name is Phill.
Just thought you may like to know of a little gem of a place to stay if visiting Malaga/ Nerja or even Lake Vinuela. Booked this place for a wedding in Alcaucin . Just look at the pics and see for yourself. You will need a car, and not suited for children but great if you want to tour. Very close to Vinuela and close to motorways and coast road and very close to the shopping Mall with many shops, cafes and cinema. Across the road from Mall is a waterpark (maybe ok for kids then) and a tram into Malaga.. Nerja is a 10/15 min drive with its plentiful number of shops, bars, restaraunts and most definitely worth a visit. I would recommend to all to try this place out.

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment, which suited our needs very well. We loved the view down to the sea, the surprisingly well stocked communal gardens and the proximity to the beach, and felt quite at home there. The plethora of household items (e.g. a cold box) was really useful. For a smallish apartment, having a washroom/toilet separate from the main bathroom was very handy.
When we booked we were worried about the location - possibly long, steep walk to the beach past a possibly busy road. But the walk to the quiet beach was very pleasant and the traffic light.
A car is essential, of course, but you should expect that as it is well outside Nerja and Torrox.

"Spacious apartment in an ideal location"
I stayed here in May for a friend's wedding. The apartment was lovely and clean, had a great seaview and was pretty quiet. The pool was clean, but cold! The balcony was also a really nice size and had a BBQ, which we used every night. We were about an hour from Nerja (walking) but that was great as we'd drive into town and leave the car in the evenings and collect it the following morning. The walk was a nice coastal one and actually helped get rid of any hangovers! The supermarket and shops were about 10/15 minutes up the road and very reasonably priced. Great few days and would definitely stay again.
