About the home

An attractive comfortable apartment situated on 2nd floor with south facing balcony and full view of pool. There is a large master bedroom with double bed, and a slightly smaller twin bedded bedroom. Baby cots, beds and highchairs can be hired locally if required. There is a spacious lounge/dining room leading on to the balcony, and a separate kitchen and bathroom both of which have been recently refurbished to a high standard. There are several beaches in Nerja, and the nearest one to the apartment is Burriana beach which is approximately a half-mile walk to the south. The town centreof Nerja, and the famous Balcon de Europa, are an approximate half mile walk to the south-west. There are various closer local facilities including restaurants, chemist, supermarket and sports centrewith tennis courts. There are numerous pleasant walks in and around Nerja and any keen walkers will definitely want to spend one or more days walking in the Almijara mountains which border Nerja on its northern side and which can be accessed directly from the apartment by walking/driving up the river bed of the Rio Chillar, largely dry to start with but wetter higher up!

The Costa del Sol region

Nerja has been described in many tourist guides as "the pearl of the Costa del Sol". Discover it for yourselves and you will be convinced! The shoreline has not been spoiled with highrise buildings. There are many beaches in the 5km long local costa from the blue flag Burriana beach in the west to the Playa Playazo in the east. Nerja enjoys about 320 sunny days per year.

The Nerja / Almijara area

There are many places to visit including the Caves of Nerja, the whitewashed Moorish villiage of Frigiliana, the small beachside village of Maro and the Balcon de Europa with its many bars and restaurants. Slightly further afield are Malaga and its cathedral and the museum of Picasso; Granada and the Alhambra Palace and gardens; and a day's outing down the coast to Gibraltar. Tennis can be played at the sports centre bordering the gardens of the apartment. Golf is available by taking a 20 minute car journey along the coast to Baviera Golf at Caleta de Velez. There are numerous pleasant walks in and around Nerja, especially in the Almijara mountains which border it to the north. The English Bookshop (near the Post Office) sells good walking guides and other books.

Fly to Malaga and then go by coach or car to Nerja. Coaches run from Malaga airport at approximately hourly intervals, and taxis are also available.
