Light & airy but also with radiators in every room for those wanting to winter out here. WI-FI internet connection available for those who bring their lap-tops by arrangement with the owner. Satellite TV in various languages including english. Spectacular views to country, pool & garden. Terraces for breakfasting or for an afternoon siesta. There is change of linen included in the rental price each week for longer stays. All electric . (Long-term rentals negotiated at a reduced rate will be required to pay the electricity separately.) Welcome pack is incuded; so if you arrive late you will be able to make a cup of tea... milk, water, some fruit & vegetables.
From Nerja there are very many important Spanish cities accessible by car or coach trips that only involve one day out- Cordoba, Seville, Granada, Malaga... And Madrid; which is only a few hours away now thanks to the new high-speed train - the AVE from Malaga.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Nerja has it's own special climate which makes the general forecasts unreliable - owing to it's situation enclosed by the nearby mountains, the climate is frequently better here than in the rest of Malaga province.
A visit to the NERJA CAVES is a definite must!... the most impessionable in Europe, if not the world.
An idyllic place to holiday, Nerja is also within close grasp of many of Spain´s historical cities:
MALAGA CAPITAL - Gibralfaro and the Alcazaba GRANADA - the Alhambra Palace CORDOBA - the Mezquita SEVILLE - the Cathedral MADRID - now accessible via the high speed train "AVE" from Malaga in under 3 hours
Nerja / Sierramar area
Scuba is only one of the outdoor activities available in this area together with; hang-gliding, water skiing, hiking, horse-riding, 4x4 trips to National Parks, golf (of course), and others. Quad bikes and motos are available for hire locally.
May 15th; is the local festival of San Isidro - the patron saint of farmers so very important to the local people. It involves a procession from El Salvador church on the Balcon de Europa, with an effigy of the saint leading, to the caves of Nerja - approx. 4km in the direction of Maro. Music, dancing, tapas, wine - All night celebrations of course!
February, a few days around the 14th (depending); is the Carnival - another huge excuse for dressing up and taking time off work.
October, around the 9th; the local Feria with a VERY loud fairground in the town centre until about 5.00 or 6.00 in the morning. (You wouldn't want to be too close to the centre then).
New Year´s Eve; celebrations on the Balcon de Europa at midnight, and for those who get there in time, free grapes & bottles of cava from the Town Hall!
Many, many celebrations in this happy place all year round, and countless more at a short distance.
Visit the famous "White Village" of Frigiliana. A few kilometers inland with a great history recorded on ceramic plaques as you wander the narrow, steep, cobbled streets. Just past this village is a wonderful cortijo restaurant "El Cerro", with Mama cooking the best traditional food I have ever eaten.
Take the route "Sol y Vino" through the countryside and sample some of the locally produced sweet wines of the area.
Sierra Nevada is only 1 1/2 hours drive away... from the end of November to the beginning of May the ski season is open. Ski in the sun in the morning then head back to the coast and sunbathe in the afternoon.
How to get there
Nerja is now easily accessible from the Autovia Mediterranneo: * From Malaga airport, follow the signs for Almeria, then leave the motorway at the Nerja sign. * Follow the sign for the Parador, cross the bridge and you will see a BP petrol station on your left. * At the next roundabout - Carry Straight On. * At the next, take the slip road on your right and you will pass the hotel Nerja Club - turn right down a narrow, tarmac road for 50 meters. * Parking is on the right - there is a sign for Apartamentos - 'La Luna'.

Further details indoors: This is an extremely comfortable villa in a very convenient location. It is a quiet neighbourhood, only a short distance from the town centre. If you find anything missing, the owner will do her best to provide you with it... a bigger saucepan, another cot, and just about anything. This includes arranging for taxi transportation from Malaga airport at a very compatible rate with a trusted driver who knows where he's going when he gets to Nerja! (We recommend Pepe; who is 100% reliable and very courteous.) If you prefer to hire a car, this can also be arranged through a trusty local Nerja company with whom we have worked with for many years. If you prefer to make your own way, then more details are available so feel free to contact me directly.
Further details outdoors: Other than the garden surrounding the pool, there is another garden and we are happy for you to take a lounger there if you need more tranquillity.
Conditions
June, July & August - arrivals & departurtres only on Saturday or Sunday. Rental is on a weekly basis. Low season - discounts available depending on the length of stay. Supplementary bed - €40 per week, payable No pets... sorry! Community rules. 50% deposit required on booking by bank transfer, and the balance in cash on arrival.
