Burriana Beach can be accessed through the cliff path which takes around 10 minutes from Oasis or, for those who prefer not to walk, the beach or Nerja are only 5 minutes by car. Burriana Beach is spoilt for choice with its number of restaurants and cafes. You can choose from eating on the beach or along the promenade with its selection of cosmopolitan restaurants.
Nerja town, with its tangle of narrow pretty cobbled streets, rocky coves and secluded beaches, is one of the jewels of the Andalucian coastline, is a pleasant 20 minute stroll away. There is a bus stop nearby to take you into town and also in the other direction to the Caves at Maro. The local bus service operates approximately every half hour to the town during the summer months and hourly in the winter months. Although a car would be helpful to explore the surrounding areas, it is not essential. The local bus can take you right to the Hotel Monica, behind which there is another good beach if you don't want to walk to Burriana Beach.
Oasis de Capistrano is an award winning development and is located within well tended colourful gardens with shrubs and palm trees. There is a traditional Roman Aquaduct, which forms a backdrop, and is still being used with the running water flowing into the villagers' smallholdings.
There is plenty to do in Nerja all year round, from relaxing on the beach or, for those wishing to be more active, walking in the mountains or even, in the winter months, skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountains, which are approximately an hour away.
A Welcome Pack is included in the price..
Our agent, Antonia, speaks excellent English and German and is available to answer any queries that you may have regarding cleaning or maintenance.
At least one of the pool will be open all year round. Both pools and children's pool will definitely be opened from April - September.
The Andalucia region
The lakes close to Velez Managa and the mountain villages of Competa and Comeras are a short, scenic drive from Nerja. Granada, where you can visit the Alhambra Palace, is about one hours drive through the stunning Sierra Nevada Mountains. You can also ski there during the winter months. Marbella, Puerto Banus and the lovely mountain village of Mijas can be found to the west of Malaga.
The cosmopolitan city of Malaga has lots of places of interest to visit, including the Renaissance Cathedral, La Alcazaba Fortress and the Picasso Museum, fabulous shopping and some amazing restaurants. Further afield you will find Seville, Jerez, Ronda, Cordoba and Gibraltar. If you do not wish to have a car, there are plenty of trips to these destinations, which are run by both charities and travel agents.
Nerja boasts some of the best weather in Spain and it enjoys its own 'micro' climate due to being protected by the surrounding mountains. This charming, coastal village will delight you, with its backdrop of stunning mountains, from its beaches and its narrow streets with their array of shops, to its bars and restaurants, which cater for all nationalities.
The nerve centre of Nerja is the Balcon de Europa, a favourite site with local people and visitors alike. it commands magnificent views over the Mediterranean and the mountains around Nerja. The promenade is lined with palms and two ancient cannons form a reminder that until 1812 there was a fortress at the top of the cliffs.
A 30 minute walk, or a short bus ride, will take you to the Nerja Caves, which contain vestiges of prehistoric remains dating back to the Palaeolithic period, some 30,000 years ago.
There are street markets every day of the week in nearby towns. Nerja has its own street market on a Tuesday and an interesting flea market on a Sunday. The nearby village of Torrox also has quite a good street market on a Monday.
A 15 minute drive inland, or a short bus ride away, is the beautiful, typically Spanish mountain village of Frigiliana, with its fabulous views, small shops, bars and restaurants.
For golfers, the 18-hole course of La Baviera is 20 minutes away by car.
Nerja has numerous beaches, Burriana Beach, La Torrecilla and Calahhonda being just a few. Burriana Beach is a 20 minute walk from our village, or a short 5 minute car journey.
The area is ideal for both people who enjoy a wide variety of sports or those who enjoy a relaxing holiday on the terrace or beach on either a winter or summer break.
