Home description

Casa Maria is a 2 bedroom maisonette-style apartment, ideally located in the beautiful development of Oasis de Capistrano. This is the perfect property for a couple or small family, looking to enjoy a relaxing break in one of Nerja’s nicest holiday developments.

The property is approached from nearby road parking, via a number of steps, and, unusually for this development, benefits from a small private garden, in addition to the usual south-east facing sun terrace. Access to the town and its various beaches is just 5 minutes away by car, but there is also a direct track from the east side of the development down to Burriana Beach (Nerja’s largest beach). The view from the large sun terrace is out over the central valley region of this development, leading down to the communal swimming pool and restaurant. Magnificent views of both sea and the Sierra Almijara mountain range are provided, and there is rapid access from the development to the coast road.

The accommodation itself comprises a master double bedroom, a twin bedroom and bathroom. The essentially open plan living area contains a well-fitted modern kitchen, dining area and living room with satellite TV, from which leads the terrace and steps down to the garden. Casa Maria is situated directly below Villa Nina, and we often let them to two families travelling together, who can thus combine close proximity with maximum privacy.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol often surprises people who visit it for the first time. Far from the images we sometimes see of high rise apartment blocks and English bars, much of the Costa del Sol is actually unspoilt, traditional and very beautiful. A large part of the coast line has a backdrop of mountains, meaning you can enjoy the beauty of the sparkling Mediterranean sea and imposing mountain ranges at the same time.

There are plenty of things to do, apart from enjoying the beaches, so you are certain to find something to appeal whatever your tastes, and whatever time of year you visit. There are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as walking & horse-riding, which are particularly good activities for the cooler months. The Costa del Sol boasts a range of activities and parks, such as waterparks, zoos & theme parks, as well as several golf courses within less than an hour of Nerja.


Nerja / Oasis de Capistrano area

Nerja is one of the most popular town for holidays in the Costa del Sol. It has remained strong to its rural past and hasn’t lost its Andalucian traditions: there are no high-rise apartment complexes here. Instead you will find many pueblo style developments, offering a taste of real Spanish life.

Oasis de Capistrano is a beautiful village-style development, set on the hillside just above Burriana Beach, affording lovely sea views as well as views to the surrounding mountains. The development is characterised by an abundance of greenery due to the extensive gardens in which the white-washed villas are set. There are two communal swimming pools plus a toddler pool, and a restaurant on-site. With just one acess road round the development, the interior is traffic-free making this a peaceful location and one that is ideal for families with children.

Nerja has some of Europe’s best beaches; the main Burriana Beach has recently won a prestigious award for its high standards of cleanliness and facilities and Torrecilla beach has won a Blue Flag award. Nerja has many great bars and restaurants, together with its famous historic caves, and has easy access from Malaga airport. We can also help to arrange car hire from Malaga airport, or taxi transfers to and from the airport.

Malaga airport is just a 45 minute drive away. We can arrange car hire at very competitive prices with a special 'meet and greet' service from the arrivals hall. We an also arrange taxi transfers to and from the airport.
Cheap flights from most regional airports are available - easyjet, bmibaby, flybe etc
The beaches and town centre are just a 5 minute drive from the apartment. A car is not necessary, as there is a bus into the town from Oasis de Capistrano, and the beach can be reached on foot via a track down the hillside.
