A peaceful location, traffic-free but with its own private access and parking area, only 2 minutes' walk from the centre of Nerja – the Balcón de Europa. The apartment gives onto the beautiful communal gardens of Acapulco Playa, a private gated complex on the clifftop overlooking the Playa del Salón beach. The gardens have well-grown palm trees, a good-sized swimming pool, and spectacular views.

All necessary facilities: shops, supermarkets, restaurants, internet cafés are within 1-2 min walk of the building.

Wheelchair access is easy. A ramp has been built to bypass the three steps leading to the main entrance. Once inside the building, the apartment is the first one near the entrance.

The apartment has one bedroom with two single beds, and there is a double sofa-bed in the living room.

The apartment, on the ground floor of the complex, consists of a living/dining room with fully-equipped kitchenette, separate bedroom, bathroom and terrace. In the living room there is a double sofa-bed, TV with satellite channels and CD/DVD player. The bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom contains a medium-sized bath/shower, and a washing machine. There is an ample private terrace with table, chairs and sun-loungers.

The Andalucia region

Nerja is in the Axarquía region in the eastern part of Málaga province, and on the easternmost stretch of the Costa del Sol, bordering the Costa Tropical. Locals boast that it has the "best climate in the world". The surroundings are spectacularly beautiful, with a hinterland of mountains (mostly natural parkland), dotted with white villages well worth visiting. Within an hour's drive vegetation varies from sub-tropical to high mountain pinewoods. Local produce includes the traditional wine, raisins, almonds, honey, and, nowadays, exotic tropical fruit.

Nerja

Nerja, more than most places on the Costa, has managed to conserve much of its old town and atmosphere intact. It has a busy year-round cultural life: theatre, music of all kinds (classical, jazz, formal and informal flamenco); and a series of lively fiestas throughout the year both in Nerja itself and the neighbouring villages.

Activities include RAMBLING in the hills and gorges inland, and along the cliffs to the east (the town tourist office has a guidebook of walks). SKIING in the Sierra Nevada, near Granada, is about 1hr 40 min drive away; the season is roughly Dec to early May, so a day-trip involving skiing all day and swimming in the sea in the early evening is perfectly possible in the late season. The Nerja town council organizes very reasonably-priced skiing trips by bus on Sundays and sometimes other days. GOLF is available at the famous Baviera Golf course, suitable for all levels of play, from the beginner to the professional (about 10 minute's drive to the west of Nerja). MOUNTAIN-BIKING and HORSE-RIDING are popular in the area.

"Great location, good views, but shabby."

Well situated for beach, shops, restaurants etc. Lovely garden with pool and views of beach and sea. Good view when sat sideways on balcony, but lounge faces wall of next apartment block. Condition… More

"a very pleasant relaxing stay"

Very convenient for beach, town centre, all amenities nearby and yet very secluded and quiet. lovely gardens, a spectacular view from a large terrace. Well equipped and comfortable.
