About the home

Our attractive, detached, villa apartment with its penthouse accommodation is set amidst an oasis of palm trees and exotic plants. The beautiful private complex, Oasis de Capistrano at Nerja on the Costa del Sol, has won many awards for its design and is well tended by its team of gardeners. This attractive pueblo style villa has independent access and easy parking at the front of the property. The large, detached, open, south facing terrace, which benefits from all day sun, is private and has magnificent views on three sides to the Mediterranean, mountains, community gardens and swimming pools.

The villa comprises a comfortable, bright, airy lounge/dining room with seating for 5/6 and an open, fully-equipped, kitchen Sliding doors lead from the lounge onto the large south-facing terrace, which is equipped with garden furniture, sun loungers and Weber barbecue. The two bedrooms have double beds, fitted wardrobes, chests of drawers, bedside tables and ceiling fans for summer. A cot and high chair are available on request. The modern bathroom, which is off the hall, has bath/shower, WC and washbasin. It has been recently decorated throughout and is well-equipped for your family holiday. There are electric wall heaters for the winter months. We also provide a selection of books and local information in the property. A security guard patrols the complex.

The villa is within easy walking distance of the centre of Nerja and Burriana beach. Restaurants and a large supermarket are close by. The bus stops just 50 metres away and trips can be taken west to Malaga and Cadiz, east to Almeria or inland to Granada, Cordoba and Seville. Within walking distance is the local tennis club and golf courses are 15 minutes drive away.

There are two community swimming pools as well as a large children's pool which are open all year. In high season a swimming pool guard is in attendance at the main pool. Overlooking the main pool there is a first-class restaurant providing excellent meals, outdoor bar, icecreams and pool table. For those wishing a choice there is also another restaurant at the entrance to the complex. Petanque pitches are provided for those wishing to be modestly energetic.

For the benefit of all our guests we cannot accept pets and do not allow smoking inside the house.
Transport to property:
By Bus: Airport Bus leaves very half hour between 07.00-23.00hrs to Malaga bus station. Cost about 1 Euro. The Nerja bus is run by 'Alsina Graells Dur'. Buy your ticket at their office inside the bus station building prior to boarding - under 5 Euros - and goes from Bay 38.
By Taxi: Always pre-book your taxi from Nerja which will cost about 70 Euros - airport taxis can cost from 90 Euros+.

The Costa del Sol region

We provide folders and booklets containing information on all the places of interest for you to visit in the surrounding area. The bus stops just 50 metres away from the property and trips can be taken west to Torre del Mar and Malaga, east to Almunecar and Almeria or inland to Granada, Cordoba and Seville.
The surrounding countryside is filled with whitewashed sleepy Andalusian villages and orchards scented with ripening oranges and lemons. 6kms from Nerja is Frigiliana, one of Andalusia's most picturesque villages. The village has wonderful views over the surrounding valleys and out to the coast.
The world famous Caves of Nerja are natural archaeological caves containing the world's widest column. Each year it hosts the International Music Week and the Festival of Dance and Music.
Inland, Lake Vinuela is well worth a trip to see this blue lagoon surrounded by the mountains.
Take a drive along the coast to Almunecar to admire the stunning coastal views. Almunecar is another pleasant seaside resort with a very busy Friday market. It also boosts a new aquarium and children and adults alike will also enjoy the bird park.

The Nerja / Oasis de Capistrano area

The lively old Andulucian town of Nerja, is 50kms east of Malaga and just 40 minutes by motorway from the International airport. Framed by dramatic coastal scenery, it is situated at the foot of the Sierra Almijara mountains, which is an ever-changing and interesting backdrop. During the day there are breathtaking views of the coast from the palm-lined Balcon de Europa, an elegant promenade jutting out on a cliff and situated just off the town centre. Several of the beaches with their tropical vegetation are quiet and serene whilst others have restaurants, bars, sun beds and umbrellas for hire. Nerja is also a paradise for water sports; sailing, windsurfing, scuba diving, water skiing and fishing are all available. Fishermen in small boats can be seen gathering in their nets as they have done for generations.
The atmosphere in Nerja is that of time having stood still. Some of its twisting alleyways, lined with shops and restaurants, lively by day and night, are still cobbled. The shops here are varied and leather goods are one of the best buys. In the surrounding countryside, you can still see teams of oxen ploughing the fields, men riding side-saddle on their mules and goats wandering freely on the land. At the same time, Nerja has all the facilities of a modern resort. Charming but lively with its traditional tapas bars, night shopping and a huge variety of excellent restaurants, many offering local specialities such as red mullet, paella and garlic soup. One of the favourite places to eat is the nearby Burriana Beach. Here one can enjoy the aroma of skewered sardines or watch the chefs preparing the giant paellas over wood burning fires. Ayos serves just about the best paella on the Costa del Sol and you can go back for seconds!! On Wednesday evenings in high season you can watch the flamenco show whilst you dine.
