The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol boasts the best climate in Europe with over 320 days of sunshine a year. East of Malaga is relatively quiet compared with many of the destinations towards Marbella, it has stunning mountains and countryside to enjoy. Further attractions are within reasonable travelling distance such as Cordoba, Granada, where you can see the Alhambra Palace, not to be missed. and the ever popular Sierra Nevada ski resort.


Nerja / San Juan de Capistrano area

Nerja remains a scenic and unspoilt location and is still Costa Del Sol's hidden secret, untouched by development and surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery, with excellent shops, bars and restaurants. Much of Nerja's charm come's from the narrow winding streets and whitewashed buildings. You can relax the full year round with Nerja's warm climate and enjoy a town which still retains it character of its Moorish past.
There are 9km of beaches, including the internationally famous Burriana Beach, and Torricella blue flag beaches, Within walking distance we have Nerja’s most spectacular attraction, it is undoubtedly its fascinating caves, located just 3 kilometres from the centre. They include archaeological treasures such as paintings over 20,000 years old and other prehistoric remains. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many classical performances are staged during the summer.

6km by bus or car, you have the pretty whitewashed villages of Friglianna, Torrox and Competa.
San Juan de Capistrano is close to the Natural Park for country walks, there are tennis courts ten minutes walk away, several horse-riding centres, activity centres for canoeing, snorkelling diving and other activities.
In the winter season skiing in the Sierra Nevada is 2 hours away. You can also enjoy a game of golf on one of the many courses nearby. There are 2 excellent 18 hole golf courses nearby, Bavaria Golf, 15 mins by car (tel 0034 952 555 015) and Club Anoret 25 mins (tel 0034 952 404000).

All the budget airlines fly to Malaga. Nerja is approx 45 km drive from Malaga.
we can organise you a taxi, 60€ each way or a very good car hire company is www.carjet.com.
Also there is a very good bus service from Malaga airport.
For those with out their own transport there are excellent regular bus service to and from the town centre, or if feeling fit a 15 min walk in to town.

Our private luxury appointed terraced villa comprise of two bedrooms, sleeping 4 (one double and one twin) fully equipped kitchen having fridge/freezer dishwasher, washing machine, oven, ceramic hob, microwave etc, lounge/diner with Sky TV, DVD player. The newly fitted bathroom consists of full bath and shower. Ceiling fans are to be found in all the main rooms.
All rooms have french doors leading on to the large Southwest facing terrace allowing dining alfresco, with superb views overlooking the sea and mountains. The magnificent swimming pool is open from easter until the end of October, with a lifeguard in attendance at all times, there is internet and phone access, San juan has a local supermarket, there is also a library for all your dvds and books.

All reservations are Sat to Sat , to guarantee a reservation a 20'% non refundable deposit is required when booking, the balance to be paid 10 weeks prior to commencement of the holiday.


Conditions

Every thing is included for your stay at Casa Joy, just bring your beach towels, linen and towels are changed weekly. Airport pick up and drop off can be arranged when booking.

Thank you for another great week in Casa joy, the 2nd time this year! Ellie loved the pool, and Brodie was still glad he could get the simpsons on t.v.! lovely meals at the pool bar, Rocky;s, Stoker Browns, cannot wait to return again next year. Mal, Ellie and Brodie.
