The Costa del Sol region
Long a favourite destination, the Costa del Sol offers clean beaches and unbeatable sunshine. Torremolinos attracts a younger crowd, with sweeping beaches, shopping centres and thriving discos. Fuengirola is more family-friendly. There are plenty of water sports on offer, and pedal-boats for the family to enjoy.
The Nerja area
Nerja has become one of the most popular resorts east of Málaga whilst retaining much of its old charm and character of a former fishing village. The old quarter of the town still preserves the Andalusian architectural style with the advantages of a modern town and the authentic atmosphere of the Mediterranean coast. Burriana Beach is the most popular beaches out of 5 more.
Nestled at the foothills of the Sierra Almijara mountain range which shelters it from adverse winter weather and at the same time provides a breathtaking backdrop to the whitewashed red roofed villas of Nerja. Surely one of the most beautiful spots along the Costa del Sol. Just one hour from Malaga and its international airport and yet only two hours drive from one of Spain’s most popular skiing resorts – the Sierra Nevada.
