Salida Del Sol (Sunrise) villa is spacious and fully air conditioned with all the modern facilities you would require for an easy, relaxed holiday. It is ideal for families of up to 10 people. There are four double bedrooms, all with en-suite shower/bathrooms. One double bedroom is on the ground floor, perfect for anyone finding stairs difficult. The basement bedroom doubles as a games room containing a full size table tennis table and darts board. There is internet, TV, full air conditioning, two cots and two high chairs included in the price. We also provide ceiling fans.
This beautiful home enjoys stunning, panoramic views to the mountains, sea and Nerja town from the whole front of the villa giving that good feel factor. The spacious pool terrace benefits from all-day sun, a large stone BBQ and a shaded pagoda area. Good quality sun beds and outside furniture all help towards that wonderful, quiet relaxing holiday. At night time with the pool lit up and the outside lights on it feels magical. Assistance from an English-speaking representative is close at hand should you need help.
The beach is only a 4 minute walk from the villa. Along the beach you will find a selection of bars serving tapas, paella and good, local Spanish food. The centre of Nerja town can be reached on foot via the beach road in about 20-30 minutes or you can walk along the pavement on the main road.
There are a few family-friendly bars, good restaurants and communal swimming pools within a few minutes from the villa - great for socialising close to home.

You enter the villa through a white secure front door leading into the hallway, fully fitted kitchen and lounge/dining room. The lounge is spacious, airy with panoramic fabulous views of the mountains, sea and Nerja. There are two comfortable leather sofas, coffee table, side tables and luxury soft lighting. There is also a TV with DVD player, CD player, white stone fireplace and marble flooring. The dining area has an extending dining table.
Upstairs there is 1 large double bedroom and 1 large twin bedroom each with en-suite shower/bathrooms and balconies with magnificent views.
Downstairs there is a large twin bedroom with own shower/bathroom and two pouffe good quality portable beds. There is a fully equipped laundry room including washing machine, second large fridge and fitted kitchen units. Spare toilet rolls, kitchen rolls and liquid hand soap stored in this area. Private garage.
There is hot/cold air-conditioning in all bedrooms and lounge included in price. There are also ceiling fans fitted in 3 bedrooms.
Marble floors throughout.
For your security there is a safe fitted in three of the bedrooms.
There are good hairdryers in every bedroom.

The villa is completely safe, surrounded by a wall and entered by a black security gate. Access is easy because there are no steps leading to the villa which makes this ideal for young children of all ages and the less mobile.
The villa has an open sunny terrace with gated access to a private pool (with under water lighting) surrounded by terracotta terracing and wonderful panoramic views to mountains, sea and Nerja. It is fully equipped with a few sets of quality patio furniture, 6 sun loungers and a large stone BBQ with outside sink. A raised separate area with sun blind provides complete shade for those very quiet relaxing moments, this also includes a round glass table with 4 chairs.
To help prevent young children and babies accessing the pool there is a lockable gate at the side of the villa. When patio doors, front door and gate are closed, there is no access to the pool.
There is plenty of parking to the side of the villa.
All linen and towels provided except for beach towels.
Bookings 10 days or over will have beds changed with clean linen half way through.
Villa will sleep up to 10 persons in 4 bedrooms. Comfortable open-out beds are provided for the extra two persons.
English-speaking representative living locally on-hand 7 days per week if you have any problems. He will meet you at the villa when you arrive to hand over the keys and show you around. Spare set in kitchen.
220 euros refundable breakages deposit to be given to agent on arrival and will be refunded within one week of departure, presuming house is left as found.

The Andalucia region
The Costa del Sol boasts more than 320 days of sunshine a year making it a perfect all year round holiday destination.
There are many whitewashed Andalusian villages scattered in the surrounding mountains, these include Competa, Comares, Alcaucin and Periana. Granada and the famous Alhambra Palace are just under an hours drive east of Nerja, whilst two and a half hours drive to the west is Gibraltar (passports required).
Malaga city has its charming historic 'old town' which is where the new Picasso Museum is located. Seville and Cordoba, both fascinating cities, are slightly further a field, an overnight stay would be recommended.
About 20 minutes drive away is an Aqua Park open during summer months and several golf courses.
The charming old town of Nerja is only a 45 minute drive from Malaga Airport. It provides the ideal setting to suit all your holiday requirements. Nerja is not just a summer resort, it retains its unique charm all year round claiming the best climate in Europe. This is due in part to the surrounding Almijara Mountains that shelter the resort and provide stunning views and ideal countryside for walkers.
Traditional festivals are still celebrated in Nerja some of which include Holy week and the festival of San Isidro celebrated on May 15th with a parade starting at the Balcon de Europa and ending at the caves with a big country style party.
Nerja town itself has a delightful selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes, many of which are centered around the famous 'Balcon de Europa'. The palm fringed Balcon offers superb views of the local coastline and is a perfect place to stroll on a summers evening.
Nerja offers a number of sandy beaches and small pretty coves. You can enjoy local dishes including paella or freshly caught fish in the many beach restaurants to be found.
The famous Nerja Caves are close by, one of Spain's finest tourist attractions to include underground caverns with stalamites, stalactites and the worlds widest column reaching a height of 32 metres. Adjacent to the caves is a National Park, ideal for walks or picnics.
Just 5k away is the old white washed mountain village of Frigiliana, a great pleace to walk amidst a national monument and have lunch in one of the many typical bars and cafes whilst enjoying views over the mountains down to Nera and the sea.
Nerja is situated approx one and a half hours drive from Sierra Nevada skiing resort (Granada), which has hosted world cup events.
Nerja and other surrounding villages have several fiestas during the year, most culminating in a colourful display of famenco dancing in the street.

"The seven Swedes +60"
This are a wonderful house and it has everything we want. It was clean and beautiful, with a nice view at the sea. The beds are very comfortable and every room has aircondition if you need it. The poolarea was fantastic and so was the barbecue. It was very near to a wonderful beach at the restaurant only 6 min walk. We are so satisfied so we are going back next year!! The only problem was, if you think that is a problem, that the poollight did not work.
Thank you for your lovely review. I am sorry about the pool light. It is a shame as the pool looks beautiful at night with the light on. The person who looks after the pool has informed me that due to the busyness of the season there wasn't enough time to both empty the pool in order fix the light and to get the pool ready for the next guests. It takes too long. However, it will be done as soon as the season finishes. Thank you again for your kind response and I look forward to receiving another booking from you for next year.

Thank you for your comments. I'm pleased that you found the villa clean and spacious and that you enjoyed the facilities provided. The views are indeed beautiful, especially the mountains at sunset.
I'm sorry that you found the walk to the beach with young children difficult. The villa is located in a slightly raised area, hence the great views. This means that you have to walk down a small hill to the beach and then up a small hill to return to the villa. It is, however, only a very short walk (4 minutes). The walk to Nerja along the beach or road is a flat, straight walk and yes, it does take approx. 30 minutes. However, there are many welcoming tapas bars and maybe some kite-surfing to watch on the way!
Thank you for clarifying since submitting your review that you paid £25 rather than €20 for your welcome pack. This price is stated in the advert and its contents are listed clearly in the customer information pack. My management agent has confirmed that the only items which may remain from previous guests are things such as teabags and jams which do not go off and which may be useful to others.
It is a nuisance having to pay bank charges on monies transferred from Spain. I am sorry but there is no way around this as the banks insist on charging.
Thank you also for informing me about the water in the outside shower and about the trouble you had getting the dishwasher fixed. I am terribly sorry about this. It must have been very frustrating. A new dishwasher is about to be installed and the functioning of the outside shower will be investigated immediately. I will work closely with my management agent to ensure that such issues are addressed more promptly in future.

Myself and 5 "mature" professional ladies spent a week at Salida Del Sol.. The villa was excellent. Plenty of room and lots of bathrooms!
The location was great, lovely and quiet and a walk of about 25 mins into the centre of Nerja.
Everything at the villa was very clean. And the local agent Joe was on call if we needed him.
We were without transport but it was only 7 euros by local cab into the centre of Nerja.
All in all it was a great holiday and we'll hopefully be going back again next year!
