About the home

This one bedroom duplex apartment with panoramic views of the sea and mountains. The bedroom has fully fitted wardrobes, aircon and safe. The bedroom has a beautiful terrace with 5 STAR veiws of the village and the sea. The bathroom is spacious with over bath shower. Fully equiped kitchen with microwave, oven and hob, toaster, coffee machine, fridge freezer and washing machine. Beautiful living area with plenty of charm includes aircon and open fire,TV with satellite channels, radio/CD, DVD player. Regular bus service from Capistrano village to town or if you choose to walk it will take about 20 minutes. Capistrano village has the added benefit of 3 swimming pools (2 childrens pool) restaurant/bar, supermarket, ATM and the welcoming Cave bar. Burriana beach is 10 mins walk away.

Please note that a non refunable deposit of 25% of full rental price is requested upon booking and the remaining costs to be paid 8 week prior to arrival. We also require a security deposit of 150 pounds which is to be paid with your final balance and will be refunded back into your account once the keys have been handed in and property checked.
Smoking is only allowed on the terrace.

The Costa del Sol region

The Sierra Almijara mountain range shelters Nerja from adverse winter weather and at the same time provides a breathtaking backdrop to the whitewashed red roofed villas. Nerja is only 45 minutes away from Malaga airport and only 90 minutes from one of Spain's most popular skiing resorts; the Sierra Nevada. Nerja offers a variety of beaches along the coastline - the closest being Burriana Beach - one of the finest beaches on this stretch of coastline. Every Tuesday morning a market is held on the new Almijara site of Nerja which is full of colour and colourful characters. Here you can buy jewellery, leather, pottery and local crafts. The Costa del Sol has, what is considered to be, the best all year round climate in Europe with typical temperatures ranging from 18c in the coolest months (Dec-Feb), 25c approximately in may/June/Sept/Oct and up to 31c + in July and August.

Further afield, visit the mountain villages of Frigliana and Competa, the Alhambra Palace at Granada, or just two hours away take to the slopes and ski in the Sierra Nevada mountains during winter months

“Fabulous views from bedroom balcony.” We spent a week at this property during August, the property is in a good quiet location within the village. There is a small supermarket approx 5 mins walk away, a pub, restaurant and swimming pool. The grounds around the village are spotless and the plants are beautiful. It was very hot during our stay so it was super to have air con. The views from the balconies are fabulous and great for outdoor dining and sunbathing. There are a couple of busy commercial beaches within walking distance (25 mins) but if you fancy a short drive you will find some beautiful quiet secluded beaches further along the coast. Wayne and Paula were very helpful and the property was immaculate with all the utensils required for cooking. Very relaxing week in lovely surroundings.

“Fantastic Accommodation” My wife and I spent a wonderful relaxing week at Casa Mimosa early Sep 2012. Wayne met us on our arrival, showed us the property and even had a cracking little welcome pack in the fridge for us, much appreciated at 11pm on a Sunday night. Wayne even helped me out with a charger when I had brought the incorrect MP3 charger with me. The property is very comfortable and the upper terrace allowed for all day sunbathing and fab views down over Nerja and the Med beyond, bliss. Yes, we cursed the uphill walk home after an evening spent in Nerja but it was our only, and much needed, exercise during a very relaxing week. Would definitely recommend and hope to return in 2013.

“Home from home” My wife and I went twice over summer to this apartment . Can't say enough about it , all you could ask for on a holiday. Clean, lovely decor ,all mode cons ,sat and wi- fi . The view from the bedroom balcony to die for . Wayne and Paula were very helpful with directions and flexable with arrival times, our deposit was refunded within a week of our return. Hope to be returning next year. Mark moore

“Wonderful apartment, panoramic views of the coast and town” Just returned from a wonderful week at Casa Mimosa. We can highly recommend this beautiful apartment, ideal for couples. Fully equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable self catering holiday - not that we did much cooking with all the fabulous restaurants in Nerja! The air conditioning is really great in the hot summer months.

“Beautiful place to stay” We stayed at this apartment for 2 weeks in March 2012 and could not fault anything - we had a fantastic time. Nerja is a beautiful place to stay, big enough to not get bored but not at all commercialised. The town itself is lovely to wander around in the south Spanish sunshine and there are several small beaches to relax on. Plenty of places to eat and drink, did not struggle once to find somewhere suitable (we like to find somewhere different, not go back to the same place all the time). The people who managed the property for the owner were very hospitable - welcome pack for the essentials of milk, bread, butter tea and coffee plus two bottles of wine and a pack of beer! When I couldn't get the washing machine to work Paula came to the apartment immediately to sort out the problem (it was operator fault not machine!). The apartment is spacious and very comfortable, with everything we required, and we loved the fact that it is duplex which means we actually went upstairs to bed - the views across the mountains are beautiful and we could also see the beach from the balcony. All-in-all a great place to spend two weeks in the sun, but anyone with mobility problems may struggle getting up the hills - a price to pay for the fantastic views!
