About the home

This is a large apartment with a fabulous roof terrace with views to the sea in one direction and to the mountains in the other. There is plenty of room for the family and one of the two pools on the complex is in full view of the lounge terrace. Only 800 metres from the main Burriana beach where there are numerous restaurants and bars, shops, internet cafes and scub diving centre.

This is a very popular area for scuba diving from Burriana beach, with professionally trained intructors on hand for all to have a try. Just a short boat ride out and you'll be swimming with the dolphins and diving amongst the most spectacular marine life in the area.

The views from No 22 bis are superb, over the roof tops to the sea and mountains. Surrounded by mountains, Nerja sits on the cliffs between the sea and the peaks behind. Beautiful scenery, little white villages on the hills and the most magnificent caves are all but a few minutes away.
The huge roof terrace is a sunbather paradise! But be careful - it can get very hot up there! The views though are fantastic and generally you get just a gentle breeze to make things comfortable. Ther is always the umbrella of course!
For the sunrise breakfasts on the lounge terrace, the views are almost as good, sea one way and mountains the other but also, situated in the middle of the small complex, allows you to see what is going on around you. As the sun goes down, you can enjoy a wonderful BBQ meal in candle light whilst looking up at the stars and trying to work out which is the plough, or take a wish, whatever your fancy!

Parking is very close by either at the front or rear of the complex. There are two pools within the complex - both within a few paces from your front door.
Supermarkets are within 100 metres and there is a fantastic bakery almost opposite, you can also get fresh veg there too when the family bring it down from their gardens and greenhouses - hard to beat for sure!
Also close by are some local cafe bars - restaurants and children's playground - even a gymnasium for those who like that sort of thing.
A heated indoor pool and sports complex is about 300-400 metres away and a tennis and racquet club is just along the road by the supermarket. Town is but a 10-15 minute stroll away.

The Costa del Sol region

Nerja is at the eastern end of the Costa del Sol. With a good all year round temperature and we have many guests that take advantage of the winter sunshine. There are many idylic white washed villages perched on the mountain side behind Nerja, where you can find local wines and traditional cottage industries like crafts and pottery. Only an hour and a half away is the wonderful city of Granada. The Alhambra Palace, the Cathedral and cobbled streets of the city square, are a must to see. Of you are a skier, then the Sierra Nevada is near by - 90 minutes and you are at the foot of the slopes - and you can be back on the beach in the afternoon!

The Nerja / Verano Azul Complex area

The Caves of Nerja are one of the largest attractions in the area, in fact, in Spain! Festivals are held in the large seated chamber is just one part of the underground spectacle. They are truly amazing. There seems to be a festival at least once a month in Nerja and of course the big ones in Easter and the visit of the Kings just after Christmas on January 6th.
On the main Burriana beach there are several restaurants producing the local fish delicacies and some of the largest paellas can be found here. The Sunday is main family day for the locals at these restaurants - and you will find that they get very busy during the lunchtime to late afternoon.
