Home description

The apartment is 800 metres from both main beach and town, a 10 minute walk. Many local facilities, mini- markets, bakery, gym, internet cafe and pizza restaurant. Surrounded by mountains, Nerja sits on the cliffs between the sea and the peaks behind. Beautiful scenery, little white villages on the hills and the most magnificent caves are all but a few minutes away.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

Nerja is at the eastern end of the Costa del Sol. With a good all year round temperature we have many guests that take advantage of the winter sunshine. There are many idyllic white washed villages perched on the mountain side behind Nerja, where you can find local wines and traditional cottage industries like crafts and pottery. Only an hour and a half away is the wonderful city of Granada. The Alhambra Palace, the Cathedral and cobbled streets of the city square, are a must to see.


Nerja / Verano Azul Complex area

The Caves of Nerja are one of the largest attractions in the area, and festivals are held in the large seated chamber in just one part of the underground spectacle. They are truly amazing. There seems to be a festival at least once a month and of course including Easter and the visit of the Kings just after Christmas on January 6th.
On the main Burriana beach there are several restaurants producing the local fish delicacies and some of the largest paellas can be found here. The Sunday is main family day for the locals at these restaurants - and you will find that they get very busy during the lunchtime to late afternoon.

A very popular are for scuba diving from Burriana beach, with professionally trained instructors on hand for all to have a try. Just a short boat ride out and you'll be swimming with the dolphins and diving amongst the most spectacular marine life in the area.

Fly to Malaga - Verano Azul is 53km from the airport - approx 45 mins
Low cost airlines to Malaga, EasyJet, Flybe, FlyMonarch, BMIbaby and Thomsonfly
Car hire through www.carjet.com or www.economycarhire.com
Local buses run from airport to Nerja and are very cheap and regular
Taxis always avaialble and and average price being 85 euros each way - cheaper to hire a car!

Cosy in the winter and cool in the summer, our 2 bedroom home has all the things you need for a very comfortable holiday. With a front to back layout it means you can leave both front and back door open and allow a gentle breeze to move through the apartment meaning that air-conditioning is not necessary, even at the height of summer!

A ground floor apartment with secluded and enclosed rear terrace making it safe for children. TV with digibox for English channels, DVD and CD players and radio give you all the entertainment.
A washing machine is fitted, excellent electric hob and oven, microwave, toaster, fridge - everything you would expect to have at home.

For the winter we do have oil filled radiators and also a gas heater and the partment warms up very quickly.
A new kitchen has been recently fitted to give all occupants a very pleasant home from home holiday feel.
There is a hair dryer, iron and ironing board for our guests if they wish to use them and, plenty of reading material, CDs and DVDs for you to watch.

Further details outdoors:
Easy access on the ground floor and safe for children. Parking is very close by either at the front or rear of the complex. There are two pools within the complex - both with a few paces from your front door.
Supermarkets are within 100 metres and there is a fantastic bakery almost opposite, you can also get fresh veg there too when the family bring it down from their gardens and greenhouses - hard to beat for sure!
Also close by are some local cafe bars - one on the complex, restaurants and children's playground - even a gymnasium for those who like that sort of thing.
A heated indoor pool and sports complex is about 300-400 metres away and the town itself is a 10-15 stroll.


Further details

There is a lot to do in the area, especially if you are someone who likes to go walking up mountains, climbing, horse riding, scuba diving - in fact, you name it and it is not too far away. Golfers can be on the course within a 15 minute drive with a new 9 hole course only 10 minutes away. Drive a little further and you have the wealth of the Costa del Sol courses in abundance!
Then there are the bars and restaurants of Nerja itself - beach bars, fresh fish, BBQs, roof top views, sea views, mountain views - you have everything you want with a few minutes walk.
