About the home

Two bedroomed apartment; sun all day; well equipped and maintained; quiet complex set in beautiful lush gardens with aromatic trees and palms. There is a new koi carp pool to rest by and 2 petanque courts for the more active; 2 swimming pools and one toddlers pool; disabled toilets; 5 mins from the beach; lots of other little beaches nearby; 2 restaurants on site; good base for horse riding, tennis, golf, and water sports, water park nearby. The restaurant at the entrance, Las Fuentes, has internet connection as well as good home cooked food.

Well maintained and equipped and comfortably furnished this apartment is for four people but equipped for you to entertain friends, It has an enclosed shower cubicle, washbasin and toilet.The hall homes the washing machine and dining table and chairs and the lounge has two settees, cable TV with BBC, ITV and Sky and a video player. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave and plenty of utensils and crockery. One bedroom has twin beds and the other a double bed; both have fitted wardrobes. Duvets and blankets in winter and linen changed every week . Electric heaters in lounge and hall.

Large terrace with sun all day and shade provided by overhead and side blinds. Sunloungers with mattresses and table and chairs for al fresco dining privately. BBQ. Beautiful gardens with lots of aromatic bushes and palm trees - hence its name. There are two swimming pools and one toddler pool and petanque courts. Five minutes walk over through the campo brings you to Burriana beach which is the main beach. There are ample walks, tennis and horseriding within walking distance. Also a supermarket and two hotels with restaurants. There are two restaurants onsite - one at the entrance and one by the large pool.

There is a public telephone on calle Tetuan just below the apartment - a blue kiosk.

The Costa del Sol region

Nerja is very nicely situated for driving to Seville, Cordoba and Granada and lots of White Villages. Or if you do not wish to have a car there are trips run by charities as well as travel agents. The climate is delightful and subtropical even if it rains it is still warm and doesn't usually last long. Nerja was once a fishing village and there are still fishermen on the beach. You can fish off the beach or boat. Bicycles, mopeds, quad bikes and cars can all be hired in the town. There all kinds of water sports along the coast including waterparks. There's a crocodile park, a wolf park, a safari park all along the coast. Markets everday in different towns and plenty of coach trips to the above towns and Gibraltar. From being a very poor province with the advent of tourism it has changed immensely but Nerja still retains its oldfashioned charm.

The Nerja / Oasis de Capistrano area

Oasis de Capistrano is a quiet family complex set in beautiful gardens three kilometres outside the old fishing village of Nerja where there are restaurants catering for all nationalities, shops galore, lots of little beaches as well as the large Burriana beach. The Spanish love fiestas and there is one practically every month. There are religious ones which go through the town and ones which take place on the beach. All very enjoyable. There are good hostals and hotels; language schools and lots of activities and a weekly market and carboot sale. The very famous caves at Maro are 3 kms from Oasis and well worth a visit. During July they have a Cultural week when the caves are hosts to orchestras, ballet companies and real flamenco displays.There are various nightclubs in the town. The famous Balcon has all kinds of entertainment at night from artists to tango dancing.

Fly to Malaga and Oasis de Capistrano is 50 kms to the east. Buses run from the airport to Malaga -price 1€
and from Malaga to Nerja, some to the Nerja Caves and stop at Oasis on request - price about 5€

A taxi needs to be ordered in Nerja as the taxis from the airport charge 25€ more and only to the town. You can hire from Lessaggro Cars - tel no 0034 93 252 4699 or e-mail lessaggro@lessaggrocars.com price at the moment 70€
