About the home

Casa Justine, situated on Capistrano Village, and is set in beautiful gardens and has it's own patio/courtyard garden, with sea views. The apartment has one bedroom, recently refurbished, one shower room and a lounge with open plan fully fitted kitchen. The WOW factor in this apartment is when you come into the larger than average lounge the view through the window is overlooking the beautiful gardens of Capistrano Village with the Mediterranean as a backdrop.

The garden is set out with table and chairs and has 2 sun loungers and also a barbeque which is ideal for those warm summer evenings relaxing after a busy day of sunbathing, swimming and sightseeing!

The apartment is ideal for all parties and caters for all your holiday needs.

Capistrano is situated on the edge of Nerja, a 30 minute walk to the centre of town and 20 minutes to Burriana beach. Nerja is known as 'The jewel in the Crown' of the Eastern Costa del Sol, with lots of fine restaurants and local tapas bars. The main feature of the town is The Balcon de Europa, a promontory in the town centre that dates back to Moorish times and which now hosts a restaurant and panoramic views of the sea and mountains.

Capistrano Village boasts several swimming pools, including a children's pool, 2 pool bars and 2 restaurants. Capistrano is rated as one of the most beautiful urbanizations in Nerja and the gardens are often used for wedding / occasion photographs.

Very spacious lounge area with views of the sea. Wheelchair access from the car park, no steps inside the apartment, but steps down to the garden area which can be accessed from the gate for wheelchair users.

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa del Sol is famous for its climate and has lots of sunny days. The Nerja area at the eastern end of the Costa is protected from adverse weather by the Alpuharra mountains. It is ideally suitable for couples with small children and mature couples, also people who enjoy relaxing beach days and walks in the countryside. The spectacular Caves of Maro, a five minute car ride from Nerja, are the second most visited tourist destination in Spain. The weather is mild for most of the year and very warm in July/August.

Nearby is the famous Pueblo Blanco (white village) of Frigiliana and a little further away, Competa. Nerja is an ideal base from which you can visit Granada and the Alhambra Palace, Malaga city and Seville. A short drive away you can ski in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The world famous Caves of Nerja are a 5 minute taxi ride, or a pleasant 20 minute walk. The Caves are the second most visited tourist attraction in Spain.

Nerja is well situated for beach and walking holidays and is an ideal base for visiting places like Granada and the Alhambra Palace, Seville and Malaga city. Skiing is just a 90 minute drive to the ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

There are many festivals throughout the year, most famously is the festival of San Isidro which is celebrated every 15th May with a large procession through the town, led by an oxon, which makes it's way up to the Caves at Maro where a celebration takes place throughout the evening. A sight not to be missed!

The Nerja / El Capistrano Village area

Nerja dates back thousands of years and this is reflected in it's diverse history, from the Moors to the Romans It is still a busy fishing village and it has developed a beautiful centre full of fine restaurants, shops and bars, There are several beaches, ranging from the quiet and undeveloped Salon beach, to the famous Burriana beach with many shops, restaurants and lots of beach activities.

The central attraction in Nerja is the Balcon de Europa with stunning views of the Med and picturesque beach coves and a mountain backdrop. It used to be a look-out point during the Moorish invasion but now is used by locals and tourists as a very pleasant walk, especially on a warm evening.

From Capistrano Village a 20 minute walk will bring you to the Famous Nerja caves at Maro, the second most visited tourist attraction in Spain. The caves are so huge, concerts are held inside them.

Fly into Malaga airport, Nerja is a 45 minute car journey to the Eastern end of the Costa del Sol. You can hire a car, or get the local bus/train into Malaga centre then get the bus to Nerja. We can book a Nerja taxi for you, please e-mail for details.

“Lovely Village and excellent hosts” We have stayed in Capistrano a few times but the location of this place was great and we had absolutely everything we needed. It is situated about 20 paces from the pool but the garden is around the back of the property so completely private and you don't hear any noise at all. It is also very close to where you can catch the hopper bus into town and a 15 minute walk to the beach, we didn't have a car so this suited us very well. Terry and Sharman were excellent hosts, they actually did our shopping for us so it was there when we arrived and one day they even gave us a lift to the beach. My teenaged daughter and I had a great break. Highly recommended.

“A fantastic apartment with all the essential amenities within easy access...our stay was a delight” We stayed at Casa Justine for a two week break in June. We are a couple with a 7 year old son. We were delighted with the apartment..it is a traditional open plan design which is light and airy...spacious and comfortable. The domestic amenities cover every appliance you would need in the kitchen and bathroom all appliances and amenities are good quality and in tiptop working order. The pool is within easy access not far from the front door!! Which is a godsend with a young son, who never wanted to be away! As a guest, you are welcomed with a handy visitor guide which is full of helpful instructions for your stay. Ranging from local restaurants, Supermarkets and places to see and visit. We found this a great source of information and used it everyday. There were good quality towels and a supply of spare bedding. Along with added extras that we really appreciated, for self catering. Nerja is a beautiful fishing village, that has easy access to the beach and has something to suit everyone's taste. We visited the caves and fell in love with the animals at the Donkey Sanctuary. My favourite place to visit was Frigliana which is one beautiful village...would we go again Yes would we stay at Casa Justine again?? Double yes, A fantastic apartment in lovely relaxing surroundings...:)

Rates are all inclusive for the apartment, not per person, no hidden charges. There is a minimum booking fee of 5 nights.There is an electricity meter loaded with €10 for each week of your holiday. Changeover dates are flexible but you must vacate the apartment by 10am and arrival not before 4pm unless otherwise agreed by us. A deposit of 20% is required to reserve the apartment and the balance is due 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. This apartment is available for long term lets from £110 per week Please e-mail if your dates are taken, we have other properties on Capistrano. A deposit of 50€ is required to cover loss of keys/pool pass, returned when your stay is over. The rates are for one or two persons, for more than two people, using the bed-settee, an extra charge of €15 will be added to cover laundry costs.
