The Andalucia region
The Costa de Sol has long been an international tourist destination with miles of glorious beaches with mountain ranges behind providing a spectacular backdrop and offering fabulous views and exciting walking opportunities.
Malaga Town has much history and features a large cathedral, a bull ring and busy port now often frequented by cruise liners.
Nestling between the Almijara mountains and the Mediterranean, Nerja is a bustling town both by day and by night and offers the holidaymaker, whether a couple or a family, many opportunities to wander around its narrow streets with numerous shops and bars and cafes to soak up the atmosphere or dine in the numerous restaurants.
El Capistrano Village is renowned for its flowers and beautifully maintained gardens - the pedestrianised pathways threading through the white walled villas provide a tranquil setting beneath the Almijara mountains.
Casa Madeline is an attractive two floor townhouse with its own secluded garden and offers:
* A fully fitted modern kitchen and bathroom
*A spacious lounge with cable TV providing BBC, ITV and Sky including Sports plus French and German channels
*Two airy bedrooms with terraces and 180 degree views of the Mediterranean
*separate ground floor cloakroom
*secluded garden, patio with table and chairs, BBQ, sunbeds
* cot and/or high chair available on request

"So good we went back for more!"
We spent our second Christmas at Casa Madeline and had another superb holiday. The villa did not disappoint - it was well furnished and again, was like home-from-home. There are lovely views from all aspects of the villa and two terraces with sea views, which can also be enjoyed from both bedrooms. We ate at the Cave Bar several times which is only a stone's throw away from the villa. This is friendly, well-priced and convenient. It also offers a daily "happy hour", which is actually 2 hours. Nerja has plenty of interesting shops and eateries.
The owner is very accommodating and always answers emails promptly. We hope to make it a hat trick this year!

"Casa Madeline - Stunning"
The villa was absolutely stunning and we all loved the terraces to the bedrooms and also the terrace where we had our breakfast each morning.
We found El Capistrano Village itself to be very well maintained and very picturesque and we certainly enjoyed the pool areas and Cave Bar.
We have no hesitation in recommending this villa to our family and friends in the future and, depending on availability, we would love to return to Casa Madeline in the near future.

"photos didn't do the town house justice."
from the initial enquirey untill we left, andrew & margaret couldn't be more helpful. andrew and margaret were in the area holidaying and popped in by to make sure everything was alright. the house was in the most beautiful village complex that we have ever stayed in. flowers and shrubs everywhere and beautifully kept and very quiet.the poolside resteraunt and poolside bar are excellent with a varied menue. pools very clean. you have to pay for the sun loungers, € 2.50 per day, a bit expensive if there are a few of you useing every day.there is a very good littlesupermarket on site, only one open on a sunday.
the walk to NERJA is flat and only took 20minutes easy.
the house it's self is light and airy, plenty room to moove. large family bathroom upstairs and showerroom downstairs which was ideal for me as i cannot step over the bath to shower in the upstairs bathroom. the kitchen has everything you need, plenty cutlery, crockery, pots and pans.washing machine was easy to use as was the cooker.
bedrooms light and airy again, beds comfy bedding all good, even extra pillows, bliss.
awnings on the main balcony were a real treat, covered everything, large outside table and chairs. we are going to book this townhouse again in the near future.

"We struck gold with this villa"
We struck gold with the villa rental right from the ease of the booking process to the arrival at the villa Casa Madeline. Totally lived up to our expectations if anything the photographs do not do this villa justice. It's location in El Capistrano Village is in the best possible position other parts of the village although pleasant are not in our opinion as refined in appearance or atmosphere as Plaza De Tulip. Ideally situated for the communal pool, village shop & bar. Just right for the bus into town which was frequent and cheap into Nerja. The villa is well equipped and kitchen and bathroom and shower room are to a high standard. Beds were comfortable and views from both bedrooms across the town to the sea were marvellous. A sense of space prevails throughout the property and outdoors space with enclosed garden was spacious with sun beds and table and chairs and sun shades on main balcony with outside lighting for evening dinning alfresco. If there was one thing that was missing it would be Internet access, there is none in the villa and we were unable to connect near the pool as the village office would not give us the password which was frustrating. We can only assume this is because we booked direct through the owners and not with the village management which is a shame. There is free WiFi at a nearby hotel but the hill is steep so not ideal for less abled bodied persons. All things considered the villa is clean, peaceful and spacious and we would certainly recommend it for adults wanting a relaxing holiday.
Casa Madeline now has WiFi access (paygo) - July 2012

"A cosy retreat"
I had high expectations on arriving as my accommodation sets the tone for my holidays, and I was not disappointed. The house was so comfy and homely I wished it was mine. Every necessity was in the house. The kitchen was spacious. I sometimes found it hard to go out as I was so relaxed, the TV channels were great, there were lots of books to read and the whole village had a very peaceful vibe to it. The pool areas were perfect for all the children of all ages. Although the village is a short distance from the Balcon I always enjoyed our walks down through the many old cobbled streets. There were 4 families of us altogether in varying villas and everyone agreed I hit the jackpot with Casa Madeline. We all look forward to returning to El Capistrano in the future but I'll have to book ahead of everyone to secure Casa Madeline for myself!
