This 2 bedroom apartment is fully furnished for all your holidaying needs, with a large terrace overlooking the sea and mountains in an easterly direction. It is decorated in a traditional Spanish style with the mixture of modern fittings and appliances. It is located on the south corner of Capistrano Village, allowing a perfect retreat for relaxation from the main shopping and swimming pool areas only seconds away.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol is blessed with beautiful scenery and lovely weather, and Nerja, a former small agricultural and fishing village, is situated in one of the most privileged locations on the Costa del Sol.

Nerja is on the seashore some 52 kilometres from Malaga, making it only a forty-minute drive from the airport. It is accessible via the old N-340 coastal road, or via the newly-constructed four-lane motorway, "Autovía del Mediterraneo" (E7-motorway). Nerja marks the eastern tip of Malaga's Costa del Sol and this once sleepy agricultural fishing village, now has a population of over 20,000.

Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing.

Flanked by a dramatic mountain range, Sierra Almijara, the town has fortunately managed to avoid being blighted by the concrete high-rise scenario, which has been the inevitable result of the tourist boom in some of the other coastal resorts. The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums, on which a canary can sometimes be heard singing...

However, the heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcon de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of the great Moorish castle, with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains.

Nerja / El Capistrano Village area

El Capistrano Village is possibly, the most beautiful and exclusive Urbanisation on the Costa del Sol, situated between the Sierra de Almijara and the Mediterranean sea, an area whose exceptional micro-climate produces vegetation of unique beauty and unusual colours.

Capistrano is located to the east of Nerja, being only a couple of minutes drive or 15 minutes walk from the centre of town. The urbanisation is maintained to the highest standard with some of the most beautiful communal gardens in the region. There are several swimming pools in El Capistrano, including swimming pools for children, all with well-stocked pool side bars. There are also spacious green zones, tennis courts, bars, restaurant, a supermarket and a laundrette, with horse riding and golf facilities at various meters from the Urbanization. From Malaga Airport: Once landed, depending on the time of day, you have 3 options;
1. As you leave departures there is always a long line of taxis waiting to hop you on-board. Beware of overcharging, the normal tariff is between 70-80 Euros, if in doubt ask for the tariff sheet, by law they all must have one. NEW: If you would like to book a taxi for airport collection/departure, we have a driver called Juan Manuel Garcia who charges 69 Euros each way. His email is juanma2357@msn.com or you may call 0034 677 261 287. He speaks reasonable English.
2. If you are arriving at a sensible time e.g between 7am - 9pm, you have the much cheaper option of getting the bus. Firstly you must get the Airport bus into the city centre of malaga (Estacion de autobuses), number 19, ask if in doubt, cost 1Euro. Once at the malaga bus station, buy a ticket at the kiosk for roundabout 5Euros to Nerja. They leave quite frequently with direct and non-direct routes, direct takes approx 45min. Once in Nerja a 2min taxi ride for 5Euros will leave you in Capistrano Village where the apartment is located.
3. Hire a Car. Check Internet (carjet.com) for competitive prices or rent at malaga airport, also offers good rates.

*Terms & Conditions:*
1) Booking reservation deposits are dependant on the amount of time until your holiday;
= 6 weeks or less until arrival date: Full payment
= 6-12 weeks: 40% payment & Full payment 6 weeks prior
= 12 weeks or longer: Only 20% payment & Full payment 6 weeks prior
2) A refundable deposit of £100 / 150 Euros / $200 with each booking is required in case of serious damage, lost keys or swimming pool pass.
3) CANCELLATIONS: You will be subject to loosing your deposit, however, if we manage to fill your reserved dates then we will refund your deposit, minus £21.75 for admin & late deal advertising costs.

"Hi Lawrence, woke up this morning back in Donegal and was immediately depressed. Where to start as regards to my holiday. First of all your appt was wonderful. Felt more a home than a holiday rental which are often so spartan. I was lucky to have outstanding weather and my first breakfast on the terrace was so perfect. The setting in the beautiful Capistrano village with so much greenery and colourful flowers but also the tranquility. Cant say enough. By the way your bar was delivered and didn't bother us at all. A lovely piece of carpentry work. The village is all I could ask for and enjoyed walking through the old town in the evenings before dining at one of the many fine restaurants. When my mum arrived she was blown away as well. I took her walking to the caves and also to Burriana and the Balcon. I have been to Restaurant Colonia on Burriana several times before for good Tapas at lunch and was not disappointed this time either. Also recommend El Encantro in the old town for good Spanish food...I and my family will be in touch regarding a break in October and will strongly recommend your place to good friends." S.
