Capistrano is about 20 minutes walk to Nerja centre, but the complex has bars, a restaurant and a supermarket, plus two outdoor swimming pools.

Normally swimming pools here are open May to October, Capistrano is usually open all year but we are not responsible for any changes in the timetable.

The Costa del Sol region
The Costa del Sol is famed more for it's sun, sea & sangria but it is an area full of history. Try a trip to Granada to see the world famous Alhambra Palace, or the Cathedral etc. in Sevilla, Ronda is also a town steeped in history it is home to the first bull ring in Spain. Plus the Costa del Sol boasts a couple of naure reserves, great for walkers and observers of wildlife.
The Nerja / El Capistrano Village area
Nerja is no longer a small fishing village but still retains much of it's charm, Capistrano is more like a village inside the town it was built around 30 years and still remains popular. While in Nerja places worth a visit are the Caves in Maro, and the Balcon de Europa, plus the great shopping and mix of bars/restaurants, international and local.

From the start of the booking,Anita from the property management firm answered all my questions and provided me with all the help I needed. Once we arrived at the house, she met us there with the keys and showed us around. The living area was very comfortable, with good sized settees and access to the terrace which housed a good sized table and plenty of seats .Bedrooms were good sizes too.The roof terrace was easy enough to access, but I was slightly concerned about the wall height once up there. Absolutely amazing views though! Pleasantly surprised by the site supermarket- lots of variety, great booze selection, and great prices too!pool was great, but the children were a bit fed up that they werent allowed to play around with toys or dive in.Its a good walk into Nerja, downhill all the way,so be wary of the uphill journey back!Do venture off the main road and try the backstreet bars; everyone was so friendly,and prices were cheaper than the Balcon area.We stayed for 3wks and didn't want to leave.The only criticism I have, is that the bathroom quarters on the ground floor could do with a little TLC, and some form of air conditioning, as we often had night time temperatures of 28' .. We also met the owners sister whilst we were there,who was very friendly and told us of some places to visit!. Overall, a truly amazing holiday in a stunning location. |
