This south facing apartment is situated in the much sought after Oasis de Capistrano in Nerja, often referred to as one of Spain's best kept secrets. The terrace receives the sun all day (with an awning for shade lovers).The properties, with their white walls and red tiled roofs, are truly Spanish in design and are set against a stunning backdrop of mountains whilst enjoying sea views. A perfect base for families - with 3 communal swimming pools (including children's pool), excellent bar and restaurant. Another restaurant is situated 500 yards away, and a large supermarket and tennis courts are situated within an 8 minute walk towards town. There is plenty of scope for walking in the mountains or driving to the nearby golf course.
Burriana beach (Nerja's largest beach) is a pleasant 10 minute walk away and a selection of cafes and restaurants line the promenade. There is easy access to the property from nearby off- road parking. The local bus service to/from and around Nerja operates regularly and the bus stop is 2 mins from the apartment. The apartment offers a flatscreen TV/DVD player with cable channels and there is optional air conditioning/heating in the bedrooms. Separate heaters are available for winter guests.

The double bedroom has patio doors which open onto the terrace and you can also access the terrace from the twin bedroom. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes.
The modern fitted kitchen is well equipped and the comfortable living room with double sofa and lounge chairs is bright and spacious with ample room for dining and relaxing. Patio doors lead out onto the large terrace which is equipped with four sun loungers, tables and chairs and a barbeque.
Books, board games, beach toys and videos are available. Cable TV (including Sky Sports 1 and 2) with DVD player. You may wish to bring a few DVDs.
Mosquito nets are fitted to the bedroom and bathroom doors and window but you probably won't see such a beast as the area is regularly sprayed.
Heaters and appropriate bedding are available for winter lets.

There are two swimming pools and a children's pool, with life guards during peak season and toilet/changing facility.There is a smart pool-side restaurant and a snack bar serving a variety of good food, drinks and ices during the summer months.
Oasis has safe play areas and the opportunity to shelter from the sun. There is a pool table and table top football in the pool area.
The estate is security patrollled and a well-stocked supermarket, car hire and tennis club are all nearby.
The Caves of Nerja and the village of Maro are a 20 minute level walk from Oasis.
Oasis de Capistrano is easily reached, being a short distance from the link to the new Motorway allowing you to reach Malaga in 40 minutes. The Malaga-Nerja bus services takes an hour if it's a direct bus.
A shuttle bus runs hourly to and from Nerja town until around 8.30pm and the stop is 100 yards from 8 Tetuan.
The Oasis Community Office is open during the day three times a week and provides information for guests.
Beach toys are provided in the apartment and we have cool bags for guests' use.

The Andalucia region
The area is protected from the north by the Sierra Nevada mountains. As a result Nerja has a micro-climate of soft dry air and lies in one of Spain’s richest farming areas, known as the ‘Garden of Europe’. Costa Del Sol, the sunshine coast , boasts the most reliable weather in Europe .The weather is truly superb with clear blue skies, sun, sangria, flamenco dancing and friendly easy going people all make up the character of this part of Spain. Even in the cooler months, the area has a great deal of sunshine to offer allowing outdoor activities to continue all year round.
Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing
The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums, on which a canary can sometimes be heard singing. Atthe heart of Nerja is the spectacular Balcón de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of the great Moorish castle, with panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains.
One of Nerja'smost spectacular attractions are the CAVES, situated 3kms from the town centre. They house archaeological treasure over 20,000 years old and one of the enormous caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer.
There are plenty of restaurants and cafes, and the visitor can hire a horse-drawn carriage to explore the most romantic corner of the town.
The town's monuments include the 17th century Church of El Salvador, in a style which is a charming mixture of baroque and Moorish, or mudéjar, and the beautiful Gardens of Capistrano Playa, which descend to Burriana Beach.
Oasis de Capistrano is the prettiest of the Capistrano developments - a golf course is planned within walking distance of the urbanization.

"oasis de tranquillity"
Lovely traditional style Spanish apartment, very spacious, and comfortable, equipped with everything you could possibly need. Large terrace with sun beds and fantastic views in every direction and space to dine all fresco after a hard day on the Beach! Oasis de Capistrano is peaceful with immaculately kept tropical gardens and a lovely shared pool. It's only a ten minute walk down the cliff to Burriana beach where you will find shops, bars, cafes and sunbeds. The lovely old town of Nerja is a 20/25 minute flat walk, and is a must for great traditional Spanish restaurant's, shops and tapas bars, and access to several other beaches.A brand new fully stocked and reasonably priced supermarket is only ten minutes from the apartment. Perfect for R and R, chill out time with buzzing town in the evenings.

"Well maintained clean property."
This appartment was within walking distance of the sea but note that there is a steep climb on the way back (no fault of the appartment!!). It was clean, maintaned and had perfectly adequate appliance… More

"A very relaxing place to enjoy a holiday"
The excellent balcony was the perfect place to come back to in the morning , afternoon or evening, to relax. It was very welcome after the walk back up from the local beach or from the town. Both the beach area and the town have a wide variety of good restaurants and cafes/bars, and much cheaper than the UK. The apartment is set in very attractive and well kept grounds with a good swimming pool.

"nice Apartment and gardens"
We have very good time in Nerja - relax and pleasant. The weather was just right for us - not too hot, not too cold. The Apartment is very nice and comfortable. lovely gardens and views all around.

"Perfect in every way"

"I wish we were there now!"
The apartment was lovely and filled our requirements totally! We were lucky with the weather and probably should have requested the air conditioning when we booked as it was still very warm in the night.
The complex itself was very nice, the pool was lovely and clean and easy to find.
We were pleased that we didn't need a car to explore Nerja with the beach a good walk away and the main town also a fair walk but still easily accessible.
The BBQ on the terrace was perfect and whilst we really enjoyed eating out we had a fair amount of BBQ's with fresh produce from the local supermarket - fab!
We will be looking to return again in the very near future.

"Perfect for us"
The apartment was clean and perfect for our needs. Oasis de Capistrano complex was lovely and well maintained and security was very good. The super market was close and sold everything we needed. The beach and Nerja town were about 5/10 minutes drive.

Lovely apartment in fabulous complex...has everything you would need and the proximity to pool and beach is great. Nerja is beautiful, the beaches and town itself are wonderful. ...I would definitely go back.

"rest and relaxation"
nerja was a great spanish town,having stayed in spain for 12 years previous and seen a lot of it turned into LITTLE ENGLAND it was a breath of fresh air to stay in a predominately spanish town that still had a lot of OLD SPANISH approach to life.
cost of living was good and value for money. flat was in an excellent locale,large sun filled patio even in february.
urbaniisation would be ideal for families. flat basic but in the nicest spanish sense,everything you require for a comfortable holiday.
