Outside the urbanisation you will find the wonderful Andalucian town of Nerja, the most unspoilt major town on the Costa del Sol. Spend days at one of the lovely beaches, which are only 5 minutes from the villa. Spend evenings wandering the whitewashed, cobbled, traditional town streets eating in one of the many fabulous restaurants in Nerja.
On top of all this, the weather is great too!

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
At the foot of the Sierra Almijara and Sierra Nevada mountains, approximately 50 km east of Malaga, lies the town of Nerja on the Costa del Sol. Situated on a rugged headland in an area of sheltered coves with excellent sandy beaches, overlooking the Mediterranean. Nerja is one of the smaller and more tastefully developed coastal resorts, noted for its absence of high-rise hotels and apartment buildings. Surrounded by some of the most fertile farmland in Spain, where olives, avocados and many other crops grow in abundance, Nerja remains a small unspoiled town. The old part of town is a maze of cobbled streets offering cafes and tapas bars, boutiques and fine shops. Later in the evening, the Balcon de Europa - a palm-fringed promenade overlooking the sea - and the cobbled streets of Nerja come to life and are lovely places to stroll or just sit and watch the world go by.
Nearby are the world-famous "Cuevo de Nerja", a wonderful natural phenomenon.
Nerja has five wonderful sandy beaches offering sunbed & parasol hire, watersports, pedaloes, tapas bars and restaurants.
The Costa del Sol boasts the best winter climate in mainland Europe with very low rainfall and high rates of year-round sunshine.
Nerja / San Juan de Capistrano area
There are many festivals during the Summer in Nerja, many being related to its Moorish past. Patricularly special is the concert held in the Nerja Caves in July, where the acoustics and setting are unbelievable.
The caves can be visited all year round and Nerja also has the Balcon de Europe at its centre.
The beaches are clean and beautiful, and scuba diving is good and available in the area.
Head east and you will find real Southern Spain, away from the tourists until Almeria. Head North and you are in the mountains on your way to Granada or Seville, both beautiful.
Head West and you are going to the glitzy Marbella and Puerto Banus scene, via Malaga.
Head South and you will get very wet!

Fly to Malaga at low cost Hire a car from one of the many cheap car rental companies Drive approximately 40 minutes along the quiet new motorway to the East. Leave the motorway at the seond Nerja exit and you are 2 minutes away from the villa

The kitchen has a modern oven and a halogen hob. A dishwasher and washing machine also save you time to maximise your holiday
