Once a pueblo where the locals eaked out a living from agriculture and fishing, the village has grown into a smallish town of some 18,000 people but still retains much of its charm and appeal of days gone by. Locally there are attractions ranging from local beaches, watersports, tennis, golf, horseriding while the Caves f Nerja (Cuevas de Nerja) are 10 minutes away - and within a couple of hours you'll be in the heart of major historic cities such as Granada, Seville & Cordoba. International shopping is possible 45 minutes away in Malaga.
