Architect designed and newly built, this Chalet has the benefit of modern design to optimise living space, comfort and views. It has all the convenience of an huge integrated ski area (the 4 Valleys) on the doorstep, whilst enjoying the benefit of a peaceful and stunning location.

Built with huge picture windows overlooking the 180 degree views, the chalet has a bright airy interior, but with underfloor heating throughout and a log fire, remains cosy and welcoming too. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious by ski chalet standards and enjoy modern fittings and furnishings for total comfort.

Open plan living area has a reception room with two leather sofas and two coffee tables, a sitting room with wood-burning stove, two large sofas, marble coffee table, TV, surround sound, DVD, and Sky, and a dining room with rectangular table seating 10. A door off the living area leads to the corridor with sauna, bedroom 4, shower room.

A modern well-equipped kitchen with fan oven, Ceramic hob, steam oven, Fridge/freezer with ice maker, microwave, bean-to-cup coffee machine, dishwasher. Granite worktops and a glass bar-top with 4 bar stools. Raclette and fondue machines are included.

A separate TV room in the basement houses a sofa-bed (which would take the sleeping capacity to 10), with flat screen TV, Playstation 3 and a selection of games and DVD's. A door off the living area leads to the corridor with sauna, bedroom 4, shower room

Also in the basement is the utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes airer, iron and ironing board, mops, buckets, brush and pan, all in separate basement utility room.

Further details outdoors

The Chalet has balconies on all sides of the property and on 2 different levels, providing many options for outside seating and BBQ. There is parking for 3 cars. The West facing balcony is the largest and in the summer months will have a BBQ, outdoor dining table for 6 people plus couch, chairs and coffee table. The East facing balcony has a marble topped round table and 4 chairs and is left out all year, as are the wrought iron table and 4 chairs on the south facing terrace by the front door. Bedrooms 1 and 2 have small tables and 2 chairs on each of their balconies. There is a small planted area with trees and shrubs on the south side and the large embankment below the chalet to the north is well planted. Trees and hedges have also been planted to the west and east sides to mask neighbouring properties.

Further details

The modern glass staircase makes access to the upstairs bedrooms difficult for those with restricted mobility and may be considered unsuitable for very small children. Bedroom 4 is a twin room on the ground level and does not require use of the stairs.

The Swiss Alps region

Haute-Nendaz is part of the legendary 4 Valleys ski area best known for Verbier, but also including Thyon, Veysonnaz, Siviez, La Tzoumaz, Bruson, and Les Collons. The area is fully lift-integrated and is known as the "free-ride" capital of the world, because of it's easily accessible, and famous, off-piste runs. However Nendaz also caters particularly well for families with great child facilities at Tracouet, the top of the main lift from Nendaz. It is a 2 minute walk (up a steep hill) from the Chalet to the free ski bus stop.

The slopes from Tracouet back to the village are North facing and provide excellent skiing from December through April. Veysonnaz also boasts a famous north facing slope "Piste de L'Ours" which hosts world cups and Swiss Championships. The skiing goes up to 3,300m at Mont Fort providing one of the most snow-sure destinations in Europe, as well as one of the largest areas.


Nendaz has many restaurants, bars, and shops. There are 2 main supermarkets and one mini-market, a very good butcher and 2 /3 bakeries. In season the main shops are open 7 days. There are 3 banks and a post office, each with ATM's. The Tourist office is in the centre of Nendaz and is open 7 days in "season". The nearest restaurant is only a 2 minute walk.

In the summer months there is a wealth of outdoor activities. The outdoor swimming pool is adjacent to the Chalet, as are two outdoor tennis courts. The lifts open for mountain bikers and walkers and the area is famous for it's network of "Bisses" (ancient hand-dug irrigation canals following the contours of the mountain at different levels). Alongside the Bisses are excellent level footpaths following the flow of water through trees and open hillsides.

There are opportunities to try your hand at parapenting, rock climbing, and Nordic Walking, as well as getting up early to watch the sun-rise from the top of Mont-Fort.

It is easy to drive to Italy over the St Bernard Pass and into Aosta Valley (about 2 hours) or over the Simplon Pass and on to the Italian lakes or Milan (about 3 hours). Chamonix in France is only 90 minutes over the Col de Forclaz.

Martigny (40 mins) boasts the Foundation Pierre Giannada regularly hosting great works of art, whilst Sion (20 mins) has a castle and monastery/museum well worth a visit - they stand on top of hills overlooking the city. The underground lake (largest in Europe) is between Sion and Sierre, only 30 minutes.

"Paradise on a mountain...."
