Our object is an elegant apartment built in 1700 on the cliff over the Lake of Nemi. Ideal for persons searching for calmness and relax. It's situated on the main street of the mediaeval town, developed on 2 levels with 2 "loggia" and a terrace from where you have a breathtaking wiew over the vulcanic lake and sea. An incredible scenery admired for centuries; especially travelling artists during the "Grand Tour".
Decorated with good taste and simplicity, particulary with antique furniture and paintings.
Recently restored using materials from the area, like the "peperino" stone and handmade maiolica. The apartment is perfect for a couple , but can accommodate, with a comfortable sofa bed, up to 4 persons

The Lazio region
Nemi is one of the best preserved towns of the Castelli Romani together with Castel Gandolfo. Nemi is on nearly 600 m and the clima in the summer is pleasant and many romans are going there to have some fresh air when it is too hot in Rome. Nemi is full of historical sites; for exampel the Sancturary of Diana, the goodess of the wood and feritlity. The crater lake where Caligula built the famous ships for worship Diana, sunken after his death 41AD and taken up of Mussolini. Unfortunately they were distroyed during the II world war. But today you can visit the museum with interesting models of the ship.
Nemi area
Nemi is famous for the strawberrys from the woods and since the beginning of the last century there is the "Sagra delle fragole" a strawberry festival fhe first sunday in June, but today you can eat strawberrys during the whole year

- Fly to Ciampino airport -Car hire available -Take the "Via dei Laghi" wich begins near the airport. -Drive to the 14th km of "Via dei Laghi", then turn right for Nemi. - "La Conca di Byron is on the main street of Nemi, Corso Vittorio Emanuele 8
