The North Wales region

North Wales is a great combination of the family seaside resorts, which extend along its northern coastline and of course the magnificent mountains that make up Snowdonia Nation Park. Also located in this region are the very distinctive Island of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula. So visitors will find a diverse holiday destination that caters for many different types of holidays from the family beach holiday to serious climbing holidays, and lots in between. There are plenty of things to do here; walking, sailing, fishing and many indoor attractions for the children. Wildlife enthusiasts will not be disappointed, with Anglesey and the Lleyn peninsula in particular being rich in diverse mix of habitats.

Nefyn

The property is ideally located for exploring the beautiful and much loved holiday region of North Wales which includes a wonderful mix of tourist friendly coastal resorts, magnificent sites and buildings of major historic significance and a truly, sublime wilderness landscape that has few equals throughout the rest of the UK. The first port of call should be the spectacular Caernarfon Castle . Built by the infamous Edward I as a means of exerting the supremacy of the English crown today it is widely regarded as one of the finest medieval buildings in the whole of Europe and a fantastic tourist attraction. The town of Caernarfon itself is charming and full of interesting and unusual shop set within a picturesque townscape. Golf lovers will be warmly welcomed at the town's golf club. Highly recommended is a pleasure flight from Caernarfon airport over the main town and across the sparkling waters of the Menai Straits- a wonderful way to see the local area. Another super way of exploring the area is to take the Welsh Highland Railway train from Caernarfon down the coast to Porthmadog. To the south-west of the region lies the spectacular countryside of the Snowdonia National Park and to the north the vibrant coastal towns of Conwy and the ever popular Llandudno which boasts the longest pier in Wales!
