Newly traditionally restored by local craftsmen both outside and inside Casa Cecchi stands on two levels. Ground floor: kitchen/dinind room, sitting room, log fireplace, courtyard. First floor: 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, bathroom with shower. Nicely furnished in the tuscan country stile.

The Tuscany region

The medieval village of Pari and its hamlet of Montacuto are incredibly well preserved. A very good olive oil and wine is produced here, The fields are just beside the river Ombrone which marks the boundary of Montalcino's Brunello wine.
Being halfway between Siena and Grosseto (35 Km), Montacuto is a very good base for excursions both inland towards Siena than towards Grosseto and the seaside.

Near Siena / Civitella M ma - Pari area

At mid August weekend it is a customs to have a festival in the square of the village with music, dance, and lovely foods of the traditional local cuisine.
The local club of non professional theatre performs a comedy outdoor right in the centre of the medieval village. All of that is repeated the last weekend of September for the festivity of the Saint Patron of the Village.

How to get there

Fly to Pisa or to Florence, rent a car at the airport and follow detailed instruction you will receive after you booked. Alternatively you can take the train, station is in the airport if you come from Rome. From Pisa or Florence you take the shuttle bus to the station in town and than the train.

Mountain bikes for rental. Thermal Springs in Petriolo (just 5 km distant), there you can immerse in the hot, sulphurous waters which have gushed from the earth into the river Farma for minnennia. That is freely available to all.The wide wooded areas of Montacuto extend to the south towards the heart of the Maremma and its regional Natural Park which offer a spectacular sceenary. Beautyful beaches shaded with pine trees south of Grosseto.

Booking deposit required. Final payment to arrive one month before arrival. If arriving time is closer that you can pay at the arrival CASH ONLY (cheques and credit cards are not accepted)

Price quoted are all inclusive, that will make it easier to work out how much the house will cost you. You will not be charged for the use of the washing machine or for the electricity, or for the final cleaning, etc. The only exception is the gas when in the cold season you switch on the heat. The cost of the gas (gpl) is 4 Euro per cubic meter.
