Home description
Set in a lovely valley in southern Umbria, this beautfully restored country house set in two acres of land with views over rolling fields to the distant mountains of the Marche. Very well equipped with a private 13m pool in a sunny and rural position. Large wooden children's Adventure Playground. Expansive living accommodation, a real chef's kitchen, everything you would hope for and more. Large sunny logia for outdoor living at its best.
For musicians the house has a Broadwood 6 foot Grand Piano and both electric (Fender Squire Stratocaster) and acoustic guitars for the use of guests. San Gemini has a music festival every summer and you are in easy reach of the Perugia Jazz Festival and the Spoleto and Narni music festivals.

You are in easy reach of Assisi, Rome, Orvietto, Todi and other major cultural centres. The Cisteen Chapel, The Vatican, Coliseum, Tivoli Gardens all within 90 mins drive with good rail links as well. Ancient Roman and Etruscan ruins, Carsulae is 5 mins drive, the strange stone statues of Bomarzo. The wildlife is wonderful, excellent for birdwatchers - Oriels, Bee Eaters, Short Toed Eagle, Fan Tailed Warblers and much more.
How to get there
Fly to either of Rome's airports and the house is just over an hour's drive. Ryan Air nad EasyJet both fly to Ciampino but Alitalia into Fiumincino is sometimes cheaper.

Wonderful loggia, outdoor traditional pizza oven, large lawns, swings under the walnut trees, surrounded by amazing wildlife - short toed eagle, bee eaters, pine martens, weasels, three species of owl, even a porcupine! Wonderful base for wildlife lovers. For children there's a full scale adventure playground, swings and plenty of toys

We loved the house and immediately felt at home in it, not least because so much thought had gone into ensuring all potential needs were catered for. We have never stayed in such a well-equipped holiday property. The location was very peaceful and we were disturbed by no one. Beverly Hipkin, West Sussex Second time at Casanova - relaxing as ever and was good to be arriving somewhere where we knew would be instantly at home. The new lounge made a huge difference. We almost camped out on the loggia and the table football sparked some intensive competitions. Mark Hollister, Wallingford. We absolutely loved it. Three generations of our family were there and each found great pleasure. We loved the pool. We ate all our meals outside on the loggia looking at the surrounding farms.
