This is a large attic studio apartment in Nazare perfectly positioned on the hill overlooking the dramatic coast line. It has a lounge area with a sofa (which is also a double sofa bed) and 2 arm chairs, TV, DVD, CD Player, a bedroom area with king sized bed and side cabinets, an area for dining with glass table and 4 chairs plus a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave etc. There is a separate large shower room with a great luxury (hydro-massaging) shower unit.

The apartment benefits from wonderful sea views via a skylight in the lounge area. Large windows make the apartment light and airy. It is well stocked with DVDs, toys, board games and necessities for babies, including a travel cot with bedding. The apartment is ideal for a couple wanting a luxurious retreat after a hard day surfing or enjoying the beach or it could be used for a small family or group of friends who don't mind sleeping in the same room.

Allowing for the stunning views, the apartment is situated at the top of a hill overlooking the beautiful town of Nazare. The apartment is a 10 minute walk away from beach a 15 minute (up-hill) walk back but you are also next to bars and restaurants within a few min walk plus there are small child play areas just nearby. You may want to break up your return journey by stopping for a drink or two in one of the local cafes or bars. The apartment benefits from being 10 minutes walk from the beautiful historic town Sitio which is perched on the cliff top overlooking Nazare. Enjoy stunning views along the coasts from Sitio and catch the funicular to the heart of Nazare.

There is a public swimming pool nearby (about 10 min walk) and a large water park which you are best driving to (5 mins)

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region

Nazare has lots to do. Great restaurants, bars, and shopping on cobbled streets. It has a large beach with water sports and surfing on offer. You probably won't want to go anywhere else but we urge you to see some other areas too!

13th century walled medieval town of Obidos - 25 mins drive.
Obidos Lagoon - beautiful lagoon & nature reserve with safe bathing - 25 mins drive.
The bay of Sao Martinho do Porto - stunning shell-shaped bay with sheltered bathing - 15 mins drive.
Foz do Arelho beach - 25 mins drive.
Caldas Da Rainha (spa town) - 25 mins drive.
Alcabaca Cathedral City- 20 mins drive.
Praia D'El Rey - (famous golf course) 35 mins.
Leira - large town - 35 mins drive great for shopping but also very pretty old part and castle.
Berlenga Island (Nature reserve) - 10 Kilometres
Boat trip from Peniche ( 40 mins drive ). The Island is famed for its native wildlife and diving

How to get there

The nearest airport is Lisbon. Nazare is approximately 1 hr 15 minutes drive away from Lisbon airport. Alternatively 2 hr 30 minutes from Porto.

Typically the best flight companies to use to get to Lisbon are Easy Jet, BMI Baby and TAP-AIR Portugal. It's well worth looking at www.travelsupermarket.com and www.skyscanner.net to compare prices.

For car hire would recommend using www.opodo.co.uk or alternatively arrange through Easy Jet

This independent studio apartment is situated above a three bedroom apartment that we also own and rent out. The two apartments can be rented together to allow sleeping facilities for up to 12 guests.

Minimum rental - 3 nights. A 40 Euro final cleaning charge is added to the rental regardless of the length of stay.

Long-term rentals will be considered.

Conditions

A minimum deposit of 110 Euros is needed to reserve this apartment. The final payment for the apartment is due 5 weeks before use.
